The results of our poll taken on October 10th & 11th, 2012 indicate that Richard Tisei built on his lead over John Tierney and now leads with near majority support. Tisei receives 50% on the ballot, compared to just 33% for the embattled Democratic incumbent, John Tierney. This represents a net 15 point swing in favor of Republican challenger Richard Tisei.

Richard Tiseis 9 point increase in his ballot rating has coincided with a 10 point increase in his favorable rating. In September Tisei had a 37% favorable to 25% unfavorable. Today Tisei is 47% favorable to 25% unfavorable.

Conversely, John Tierneys favorable rating has decreased by 6 points. Tierney went from 38% favorable in September to 32% favorable today. Moreover Tierneys unfavorable rating went increased by 8 points, going from 46% in September to 54% today.
