Brave Victim Thwarts Attack In 2010, one victim found herself in the middle of a real life horror movie.

She was walking in the Greater Ville neighborhood when a complete stranger pulled a gun on her and forced her around the side of an a bandoned house. Robert Gray held her at gunpoint and told her she was going to die. The quick thinking victim said she would comply with his unspeakable requests if he would put his gun down. When he did, she bit him, grabbed his gun and ran. With Gray chasing her, she aimed at him and tried to pull the trigger. Nothing happened. Gray had the safety on. The victim ran, screaming, towards the occupied houses at the end of the street. Gray caught up to her, but he was in for a surprise. The victim began beating Gray with the gun he had pulled on her minutes earlier. Meanwhile, a teenage girl saw the fight in the middle of the street and called 911. When the police arrived, they found the bloody Gray within minutes with his gun in his possession. Robert Gray was out on bond for a gun charge when he attacked his victim. Thanks to a very brave victim, a witness who was willing to come forward, and quick police work, Robert Gray was caught and charged. A jury found Robert Gray guilty of Forcible Sodomy, Kidnapping, Assault 3rd, and two counts of Armed Criminal Action. He faces sentencing on October 12th.
