Mariam Nawab 6R Pre-Questionnaire results and graphs 1) What is your gender?

This bar chart shows that out of 10 people who participated in answering our questionnaire that half were female and half were male. This represents our research to be fair due to mixed and equal opinions.

2) Which category below includes your age?

This bar chart shows that the majority of the public who took part in our survey were between the age ranges of 16-18. This helps our productions research because it is the target audience we are focusing for our film.

3) Do you watch short films?

This chart shows that the majority of people, 7 people, do watch short films, which is useful as we are creating a short film.

4) What genre of film do you prefer?

This pie chart illustrates that half the public who took part in the survey enjoy watching comedy/dramas. This is constructive because we are creating a film in which the genre is comedy/drama. It will be easier for us to appeal to the public, as they prefer this more than other genres.

5) Please read our script. Is the genre of our film clear?

The chart shows that 6 out of 10 people felt the genre of the script we created was obvious with the genre type we followed. It may not have been overt to the 4 people who disagreed that the genre was clear because the script could have come across as having more drama in it than drama and comedy combined and so felt that it may just be a drama.

6) After reading our script, what do you feel is the strongest scene?

Mariam Nawab 6R This shows that 1 person out of the 10 we surveyed thought the strongest scene in our script was the Dodgeball scene. 6 out of 10 we surveyed thought the strongest scene was the Chewing gum scene and 3 out of 10 people we surveyed thought the strongest scene was the Break-up scene. The reason may be that the other scenes were not as funny as the chewing gum scene, and this scene was the most realistic scenario a young student would be in.

7) After reading our script, what do you feel is the weakest scene?

This chart shows that 7 out of 10 people felt the weakest scene was the Bench scene, 2 out of 10 people felt the weakest scene was the Dodgeball scene and 1 person out of 10 felt the worst scene was the Break-up scene. No one thought the worst scene was the Chewing gum scene due to the fact that its the funny. And people may have felt the best scene was the Bench scene because it may come across as the dullest scene of the entire film.

8) Please read our synopsis. Do you feel the narrative is clear and straightforward?

This shows that 7 of 10 people believed the narrative of our synopsis was clear. This may have been because they understood what was happening in different scenes of the film. And possibly because they felt it was unique and funny.

9) What name do you feel best suits our film?

Mariam Nawab 6R

This pie chart shows that the majority of people we questioned, felt that the strongest name for our film was Goodbye high School. This may have been because they realise that it is about school and that Olivia will leave the school forever and the name Goodbye High School fitted with the narrative of the play.

10) Which British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) would you rate our film?

This shows that the majority of people we surveyed felt the rating we should consider, as our BBFC should be 12A. This is because there is no nudity or violent language and so the decision was 12A.

11)

From reading the script, do you think the events that occur reflect how school life is in reality?

Because the majority of people we interviewed were between the age ranges of 16-18, more people voted yes that the events in our film actually occur in real life, because theyve had experience or similar experience and have been in those types of scenarios.

12)

From reading the synopsis and script, would you consider watching our film?

Mariam Nawab 6R

This pie chart shows that 8 out of 10 people would consider watching our film. Yet again this may be due to the participants ages. Those who were 1618 felt they would watch it because they wanted to see how Olivia experiences and resolves her scenarios, relating to their own lives and how the audience themselves would deal with these scenarios.
