Language Arts
In language arts we will be reading: Armadillos Orange The Nursery rhyme for the next two weeks is: Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater We will be focusing on Letter: Pp and Qq. We will learn the names, sounds, and learn to write these letters. We will continue to work on rhyming, please work with your children at home by playing rhyming games, such as having them come up with a word that rhymes.

Saxon Math

Saxon 1: We will be working on doubles with the sums of 18; Lighter and heavier w/ balance; and Covering designs with pattern blocks. Saxon K: We will be learning about shapes and their attributes; AB sound and movement patterns; sorting and identifying missing numbers.

Social Studies/Science
This week for character ed we will continue working on trustworthiness. For science we will be learning about night and day through light and shadow exploration.

Handwriting
We will be working with your child on writing both uppercase and lowercase Pp & Qq. Make sure they are starting from the top. We will also continue and working on our numbers.

Monday through Thursday: Math, reading 20 minutes and sight words. Saxon 1: work on doubles facts: 1 10. Saxon K: If any work is incomplete on the math page, it is homework. Some of the pages are better done at home.
