I will protect residents and police from political interference. I will reduce crime so you can be safe and feel safe in your community. I will be your voice. I will work with the police for better policing. I will make Police Officers, PCSOs and Special Constables more visible in your neighbourhoods. I will be a fierce advocate on behalf of victims and will take action in delivering results. I will ensure that offenders are dealt with robustly through the criminal justice system. I will ensure that your money is spent efficiently, effectively and wisely.

EXPERIENCE
There can be no doubt about it I am a local to Avon & Somerset. Born here, educated here and working here. I care about the people who live around here: I know how to run a large and complex business and I thoroughly understand the criminal justice system. For many years, I was a director of Mountstevens Bakeries with shops all over the South West, employing over 1300 residents of Avon and Somerset. I have been a magistrate for 15 years serving on adult, youth and family cases. I have been Vice-Chair of the Independent Monitoring Board at Bristol Prison. I have served as an independent member on the Avon & Somerset Police Authority. I am Lead Member for Major Crime, and on the Finance and Professional Standards Committee. I chair the Brunel Board, which is a joint committee with Wiltshire in relation to Major Crime In summary, I have the ability and experience to get things done. And no party politics!

MY VISION
Supporting Avon & Somerset Constabulary, I want you to be safe and feel safe. As your Police and Crime Commissioner, I will work with the police and local partners, such as probation, health and local voluntary organisations to prevent crime, to fight crime, to focus on prolific offenders so that your homes and streets are safer. I will put victims at the heart of the criminal justice system where you will be heard and action taken. You tell me that your concerns are antisocial behaviour, burglary and violent offences especially against women and girls. You will see the difference.
