Who is Kilee Krause?

Kilee Krause is the 18-year-old daughter of Kendall and Tamara Krause. The Krauses, who moved to Lehi 11 years ago, have been key figures and active participants in the community and in local religious events for many years. Since arriving in Lehi, Kendall has coached Lehi little league baseball for 6 years and been an assistant coach for youth flag football, tackle football and basketball. Tamara was a room mom for many years, and recently was a student teacher at North Point Elementary (located in north-western Lehi). They are both very supportive parents who never missed a game or performance that their children, including Kilee, participated in. Kilee and her siblings have attended Snow Springs Elementary, North Point Elementary, Willowcreek Middle School, Westlake High School and Lehi High School where theyve pursued sports, dancing, cheerleading, drill team, dance companies, student government and more. Kendall was well known for his air horn at the Lehi and Westlake Football games where Kilee was often performing as a dancer. Tamara was the Drill Team Mom while Kilee was a member of the West Lake High Drill Team. Kilee is a model student and friend a responsible young woman with a talent for dancing and looking out for others. She uplifts all who know her and was recently excited as she began her first semester of college. The Krauses are very active in their church planning and supporting many youth activities. Due to job requirements, they recently moved to Fillmore, Utah. Kilee started her freshman year at Southern Utah University in Cedar City.

Recently, Kilee expressed to her family and others that she was desirous to serve a mission when she turned 21. During the recent LDS Church General Conference, President Thomas Monson announced, that the minimum age for young women to serve missions was reduced to 19 from 21. Kilee posted that same day on her Facebook page, I want to serve a mission next year!! :) On Friday, Oct 12, 2012, just one week later, Kilee was making a special trip to the St. George temple to seek inspiration and guidance about serving a mission. As she was driving the short trip from Cedar City to the temple, Kilee was in a serious auto accident that has left her in critical condition, fighting for her life. Her parents have been vigilantly by her side daily since the accident last week as they pray, and hope for good news, and signs of their daughters hopeful full recovery. Hundreds have responded and provided comfort, prayers, and support. The Krause family has been overwhelmed realizing how many people their daughter has influenced, for good, in her short 18 years. Many have expressed a desire to help in any way possible and want to do more. For the immediate help we can simply pray and fast for Kilee. Kendall Krause stated recently that the most important thing right now is for us all to pray, and to get anyone else we can to pray for their Kilee, and for her to have a full recovery.

Along with our hope and prayers, friends of the Krause family are raising funds to assist in meeting the impending financial burden. In addition to the physical and emotional trauma, tragedies of this sort also create a financial burden. As friends and neighbors in the community, who love and appreciate what Kilee and her family have contributed to

our lives over the years, we are coming together to support Kilee. We invite all to come and join in supporting Kilee and her family!
