THE RIGHT CONGREGATION

That day he gave me more advices: Be careful, when you are standing at church with other Christians. Don't laugh, don't talk, don't criticize other people and don't chant vainly, raising your voice from vanity. I wonder if the things you mentioned are a sin?, I asked him deliberately, in order to provoke him to tell me more. Listen to me, my child. Above men, who are standing at church, there are more angels and chant unseen with them. If someone from the congregation begins joking or gossiping or discussing about life's needs, angels, who are looking at him, leave the chanting and begin the lament for the misery of this man, who is standing at church with such a contempt, without fear of God, without disgrace, without respect! God bowed his head from heaven to hear a humble prayer and some imploring words, and instead of these he hears jokes and gossips. His words scared me. Since then, if I ever let a vain word slipped in church, I remembered them and I was ashamed of God's angels
