Key to career success is acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills and credentials to advance in your chosen field or discipline. PART ONE: Past/Current Coursework and Academic Experiences All of your courses potentially have provided a solid foundation for your educational development. However, on the table below, list key courses (descriptive names not numerical listings such as MGMT 301) that are relevant to the career position/field/industry you seek. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCES, or SKILLS GAINED The internship provides me a lot of information about the real work environment in a bank and as a financial analyst what is their daily routines. I had an intern in financial department in Yongxing Scale Manufactory. During the two months intern, I learned a lot of things about accounting by assisting accountants to analyze financial reports and gained experience with recording journals and adjusted entries

Are there certain electives, concentrations, or minors that you should consider taking because they would provide you with additional knowledge, skills and experiences for your field of interest? If so, add them into your above planning. If you cannot fit them into your degree and graduate by your targeted goal date, would you consider staying for an additional semester? Consult with your Academic Advisor to make sure you correctly are interpreting your degree information. Since I already have double majors in Management and Accounting, and a concentration in Finance, therefore I would not consider another minor or concentration.

What certification programs and professional association would be important for you to obtain and join to enhance your professionalism? I will choose Purdue Accounting Association. In my opinion, to gain some accounting information is very critical in financial fields, because we have to read the financial statements and try to find problems from those reporting. And in order to improving our ability to analyze problems, to be member of accounting association is a great choice. Since the purpose of this organization is to provide a social setting for Purdue students to expand their educational and social boundaries through peer interaction, professional engagements and community service, therefore, we can learn amount of information about accounting by attending this organization.

To advance in your field, will you need to obtain an advanced degree and when would be the best time to pursue that (directly after earning your undergraduate degree or after you gain professional experience in your field)? Actually, I am thinking about to continue my study and apply for the graduate school. And I want to learn more knowledge about accounting or finance. Therefore, now I need to prepare for the GMAT test and TOEFL test and try my best to gain a great score. Since my estimated graduation time is December in 2013, this means if I get the offer for 2014 fall, then I would have six months free. My plan for these six months is to get a job which is related to financial fields, such as bank. With the related work experience, I will be much more familiar about the finance or accounting. It will help me to figure out what is my real interests in their fields.
