Introduction Dear Readers, Our website www.haif.org contains information about our objectives, our partners, our activity, data of the Hungarian Aerospace Cluster (HAC), Hungarian Aeronautical Research Platform (HARP) and other Hungarian Aerospace Companies, workshops and events we participated in actively. Cluster News AS 9100 Aerospace Quality Management project launched by HAIF and MOET Initiated by HAIF back to 2005 an AS9100 Quality management project took off in the mid of December involving 12 manufacturing SMEs mainly members of the Hungarian Aerospace Cluster (HAC). Financially the project is supported by the Ministry of Economy and Transportation (GKM) as part of an offset program. Main service providers involved will be: AIB Vincotte, SGS, Sansz Ltd., ISO-MORPH Consulting and Service Company and PRO-Qualita Engineering Office providing consulting, training and auditing services for the selected SMEs. The beneficiaries: Corvus Aircraft ltd., Composite One ltd., Borsodi Mhely ltd., Dendrit ltd., Elektro-Metall Paks ltd., Technoplast ltd., Aviatronic ltd., Flytech ltd., Magyarmet Precision Casting ltd., ABF Bowdentechnika ltd., Szimfk ltd. and Anton Ltd. This milestone project represents strong commitment from the Hungarian Government to support our emerging Aeronautical industry. :. Research News Scratch project can help Hungarian SMEs in participating of the 2nd call of FP7 SCRATCH is a European Commission founded project helping European SMEs in the successful participation in aeronautical projects. SCRATCH has already generated 30 cost shared Projects funded by the Commission for a total budget of 57M. SCRATCH can help SMEs in the 2nd call of FP7 which was recently opened. Upcoming Events Aerospace and Defence Convention Torino Italy 2008 March 19-20 A two-day expo will be held in Torino in March where suppliers can have face to face meetings and technology meetings with the contacts of their choice and can attend high level conferences and workshops. The concept is to provide an excellent tool for the participants to do business development, find partners, suppliers or customers. More info
