ABSTRACT The thesis has been studied in various real estate aspects of which chapter 1 explains the background of the title that is lifestyle city , which will create world class real estate projects in India. Chapter 2 explains the city of Coimbatore highlighting its importance, chapter 3 examines the city of Coimbatore in various real estate sectors like residential, commercial, institutional and etc., Chapter 4 aims at find the strength, weakness, opportunities and threats of the development by studying the onsite and offsite factors, Chapter 5 is the micro market study which gives a fair idea of southern region of Coimbatore city as the site is located along with survey reports and study of site surrounding examining the reach within twenty kilometres from the site. Chapter 6 is the case study of lifestyle city in foreign countries giving importance to how to develop and run this theme in a successful manner. Chapter 7 is the product mix , the requirements of the project is framed from the study of macro, micro level study and also the case studies. Chapter 8 deals with the design created for the lifestyle city that is the master plan , along with the concept, zoning plan and land use plan explaining the area used for different zones and the infrastructure plan explaining the services provided for the sustainability of the site and landscape plan explaining the usage of open spaces and golf area. The chapter 9 is project financing which analysis the project feasibility in terms of its returns. Chapter 10 is implementation , that is how the project can be applied for development on site and what are the precautionary steps applied and finally the

recommendation stating that this thesis can be used as a lifestyle city model for application anywhere in India with geographic importance with slight modification according to the real estate need.
