Belleville-area voters will choose two trustees for the Van Buren Public Schools Board of Education in Tuesdays election. Seeking office are incumbent Toni Hunt, Kathleen Kovach, Kelly Owen and Benjamin Ross. The positions are four-year terms. In anticipation of the election, the candidates were asked to respond to questionnaires from The View.

3 incumbents face challenger for board slots


The contest to fill three seats on the Belleville Area District Library Board is being waged by three incumbents and one nonofficeholder. On the ballot Tuesday are current board members Michael Boelter, Joy Cichewicz and John Juriga, along with George Chedraue. In anticipation of the election, the candidates were asked to respond to questionnaires from The View. Chedraue did not provide a response.
