An Act Concerning Detachable Magazines Prohibited FOR the purpose of promoting intra-state commerce. By repealing and re-enacting, with amendments. Article Criminal Law Title 4 Weapons Crimes Subtitle 3 - Assault Pistols and Detachable Magazines Section 4-305 Detachable Magazines Prohibited
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE MARYLAND STUDENT LEGISLATURE that the laws of Maryland read as follows:
(a) Scope of section- This section does not apply to a .22 caliber rifle with a tubular magazine. (b) Prohibited- A person may not manufacture, sell, offer for sale, purchase, receive, or transfer a detachable magazine that has a capacity of more than 20 30 rounds of ammunition for a firearm. Section 4-306 Penalties (a) In general. -- A person who violates this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 3 5 years or a fine not exceeding $5,000 $10,000 or both.
