A RESOLUTION CONCERNING The Chesapeake Bay WHEREAS: WHEREAS: The Chesapeake Bay is part of the worlds largest estuary, and; One of the primary geographic features of Maryland is the Chesapeake Bay, and; It is important to publicize the importance of the Chesapeake Bay to Maryland.

WHEREAS:

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Maryland Student Legislature urges the Maryland General Assembly to make The Bay State the official nickname of Maryland. MANDATES: Martin OMalley, Governor of Maryland Thomas V. Miller, Jr., President of the Maryland State Senate Michael E. Busch, Speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates Royden Patrick Dyson, Maryland State Senator John L. Bohanan, Jr., Maryland State Delegate
