Configuring an Aeroflex or General Dynamics Service Monitor on Motorola Online

Motorola Customer, Effective November 30th, 2009 Motorola made significant improvements to the Test Equipment ordering process that enables fast and accurate configuring of Service Monitor products. This resulted in a change of Motorola part numbers for all Service Monitor products from General Dynamics and Aeroflex and also requires that all orders be placed on Motorola Online. This document provides step-by-step instructions on how to place a Service Monitor order with Motorola as well as configure the order with options using Motorola Online. Select the Service Monitor Brand Your Wish to Purchase by Clicking the +

Ordering Hardware vs. Accessories


You will see an option to order Service Monitor Hardware or Accessories. Select the Service Monitor Hardware link to configure a new unit. Only select accessories for replacement parts or items such as carrying cases or other piece parts.

MOL Product Information


At this point, MOL may provide additional details on the model you are currently viewing. Any information, if posted, will appear at this point in the process.

Viewing Available Options


Clicking on the View Option button will display a list of all of the options that can be configured with that particular model. Options cannot be ordered at this point and the list is only for reference. Select Return to go back.

Adding Base Model to Cart


Enter the quantity desired (each configuration must be the same, if ordering different configurations of the same model, please repeat the process for each unique configuration). Select the Add to Cart checkbox, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Add to Cart button.

MOL Configuration Page


Once adding the base model to your MOL Cart, you will be presented with a list of options that can be added to the Service Monitor base unit. Your pricing for each option, will be shown. The pricing shown at this point is only the pricing for the base model with no options.

Available Options and Option Notes


Scroll down to see a list of the available options for the model you have selected. Pricing will be shown for each option and additional information on option requirements can be obtained by placing your mouse pointer over the Item #.

Selecting Options and Option Notes


Select the options you wish to configure with the base model, taking into account any option requirements as show. Once the configuration is complete, click Continue.

Configuration Errors and Missing Requirements


If you have selected a configuration that has errors (options that have other requirements, options that cannot be ordered together, etc.) the following pop-up message will appear.

Select Cancel and MOL will display a message advising what changes need to be made to your configuration.

Make the required changes and then click Continue at the bottom of the page.

2.10 Configured Service Monitor MOL in MOL Cart


At this point the fully-configured Service Monitor model will be in your MOL Cart. The pricing shown will be your price for the configured unit. To see pricing for each option, click on the + for a detailed pricing breakdown.

2.11 Placing an Order


The Service Monitor model is now fully configured and you can continue to place the order on MOL using your MOL account number.
