Market research
To get to know our target group, we spent several weeks looking for information about how they work, in which environments, and which tools they use. Some of it is shown here. We also conducted a few interviews and posted a questionnaire in a craftmen page in Facebook and gave it to other craftmen by e-mail. To the right a summary of the results is shown. Combined with what we thought our design should have, the main objectives that we had to achieve in our design were established

Design
After some weeks of sketching and making models, a solution that combined all the required features was developed and designed.

EVA with CR core

PE

EVA
Materials
A long research about materials was done. The final materials where chosen with the help of EduPack software, attending to their function.

PC/ABS

Clip system
Created to fullfill the need of easy storage. With the clip, the headset is easily reachable but also safe.

Lock

Package
A package proposal was made, trying to fit both the Jabra and the headset styles.

VESTAS CUTLERY
This project was created during my internship in Mencke & Vagnby ApS. We wanted to create something that Vestas could give to their clients as a gift.

Windturbine Vestas windturbines were used as inspiration.

LEGO BOX
The aim of this project was to design a new Lego box that has great functionality, possibility of permanent storage and durability, so it would survive a childs play life. This had to be achieved while preserving the brand values.

Rolling box
The idea was to make a box that was a toy itself, not just a container. Children love using rolling things, for example the shopping trolley, so it would be great if they could roll their Lego Box.

Extensible handle
It can be used by children from different ages.

Easy dissasembling
All pieces are made of the same material, and are easy to dissasemble. That makes easier the recycling process.

Colourful and stackable

Makes it attractive for children and stands out in the store.

CORPORATE IMAGE
The objective of this project was creating a whole corporate image: name, logo, official documents, etc. The corporate image was then applied to different kinds of objects that could be used to promote the company.

Templates
Examples of templates created: A4, envelope, visit card and digital sign.

Merchandising
All kinds of objects promoting the company.

MODEL OF SCOOTER
The aim of this project was creating a safe scooter for children while learning how to work with different materials. Therefore, filing, sanding, bending or welding were some of the processes used to make this 1:2 scooter model.

Safe folding system

Prevents kids from catching their fingers. It is also intuitive and easy to use.

Two heights
The child can adjust the height that fits him better.

Double wheeled
Increases stability. The holding structure is made of metal.

Board
Clicks onto the structure. Made by thermoforming with the help of a wooden mould.

Brake
It is made of a simple mechanism. Easy to use and does not need any maintenance.

DESK LAMP
This project consisted on designing a studio lamp using Light Emitting Diode Technology, not focusing only on the aesthetics, but mostly in acquiring knowledge of the whole development process. The project is divided into these sections: memory (aim, market research, final design, manufacturing process), technical drawings, calculations (both electrical and mechanical), budget, specifications sheets and safety studies.

Technical considerations
In this page are shown some examples of the technical development of the lamp: represetation of the electric circuit, exploded view of all the parts and diagram of the assembling process.

BUSINESS LINE
This project was developed in Mencke & Vagnby studio. The objective was to create a series of business to business gifts, that should appeal to business people. The line was designed in two main materials: stainless steel and black plastic.

ID card holder
It can be used instead of the plastic ID holders that look cheap and weak. It is easy to put on and off. The slight curve on the inside holds the card so it does not fall off.

Digital frame
It can be orientated as portrait or landscape. The design plays with the plugs, not only adding them to the design, but integrating them.

USB stick
Apart of being a USB stick, it was thought to be an accesory that one could wear, combining with his clothes.
