Title of the activity: Sinag Short Film Festival Nature of Activity: Film Festival Date and Place: December

2011; Holy Name University Target Participants: Different students, artistic groups in Bohol and youth organizations Rationale: The Mass Communicators Guild of Holy Name University is pushing its boundaries by organizing its 2nd Film Festival this coming December 9 2011, which will be participated by different students from different educational institutions, youth organizations and artistic groups in Bohol. This will serve as an avenue for the creative population of our province to showcase their ability in acting and film making.

Objectives: 1.) To develop and enhance the acting and creative capabilities in film making of the different students,artistic groups and youth organizations in Bohol. 2.) To produce new talents that shall represent the province in future activities outside and beyond. 3.) To provide an opportunity and/or means of self expression in a productive way. 4.) To challenge and encourage our students, artistic groups and youth organizations to produce a film that they can be proud of which will, in return, increase self-esteem, selfimage and self-concept. 5.) To develop the concept of team work within the participative groups. 6.) To enlighten the participants of their own abilities in the field of film that will entice them to try different things that will encourage them to seek out other aspects of themselves which will broaden their horizons.

Duration: The Film Festival will be held on December 9, 2011. It will be a one day activity for the purpose of giving ample time for the judges to curate all entries after which all chosen films will be showcased during the Bohol Arts festival.

Guidelines: 1.) Each group is encouraged to submit at least one entry. 2.) There will be no required number of participants in each group/entry. 3.) Each film will have a minimum duration of three (3) minutes and a maximum duration of ten (10) minutes. 4.) Every exceeding minute of each entry will be equivalent to one (1) point deduction from the total points garnered by the group. 5.) All entries must be in either DVD, AVI, mp4 or mp2 format 6.) All entries must include a data file. 7.) All entries must be passed on or before the set deadline. 8.) All entries must include the application form. 9.) All participants are automatic participants of the Bohol Arts Festival therefore all participants must pay the registration fee of Php 100.000 10.) Deadline for submission of entries is on December 5 2011.
