Retrieve an object from the deepest part of the pool, no greater than 3 metres Swim 25metre swim and 25metre tow in less than 1minute and 45seconds Fitness and strength level to swim 200metres in less than 6minutes.
This program aims to teach you emergency rescue techniques, swimming skills and basic spinal management techniques as well as the finer points of pool lifeguarding. Candidates of this program will receive comprehensive training in aquatic emergency care, emergency management, oxygen resuscitation and pool surveillance. Successful candidates will have the skills and knowledge required to supervise swimming pool users. Pool Lifeguard Award must be updated annually if used as a professional qualification. Reaccreditation courses are designed for those who have already completed the full course and their award is due to expire.
