News Release For Immediate Release CIBC FIRSTCARIBBEAN ANNOUNCES TWO APPOINTMENTS WITHIN ITS WEALTH MANAGEMENT TEAM

Bridgetown, Barbados. 15th November, 2012. CIBC FirstCaribbean has made two appointments within its Wealth Management Senior Leadership Team. Mrs. Marcia Cyrus has been confirmed as the new Director, International Banking and Mr. Kriss Marcus has been appointed Director, Investment Management. Mrs. Cyrus, a Barbadian who joined CIBC FirstCaribbean in 2007, has most recently performed the role of Head of International Banking for the banks Barbados Wealth Management operations. Prior to that, she gained significant experience within the International Banking sector, with a focus on investment management, providing investment and banking solutions to large captives and other international business structures. An Economics and Management graduate of UWI, Marcia is also a Certified General Accountant and has completed the Canadian Securities course. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Investments and Wealth Management. Managing Director of Wealth Management for CIBC FirstCaribbean, Mark Young, said: Marcia takes on the role at a very interesting time for International Banking as, in addition to managing the daily business in our six International Banking Centres, she will be leading the implementation of our new strategy and a number of initiatives we have planned to deliver growth in this area in the years 2013 to 2015. He added: Marcia is full of further ideas to move the business forward and to continue to make it a successful and valuable part of the CIBC FirstCaribbean business. Kriss Marcus, a Trinidadian and also a UWI graduate, joins CIBC FirstCaribbean from his most recent position as Head of Investment Management Services at Unit Trust Corporation, where he had overall responsibility for the investment performance and growth in Assets Under Management (AUM) of that institutions ten mutual funds offered to the public. These mutual funds represent the highest valued group of funds currently in the Trinidadian market. Mr. Marcus has a proven track record of developing the strategic vision, and managing the tactical execution of that vision, to achieve revenue earning goals. In previous roles Kriss has worked for Sagicor Asset Management in a syndication, bond trading and treasury role and also for RBTT Merchant Bank (now RBC) in syndication and distribution roles. In both these organizations he regularly interfaced with institutional investors in North America and across the region and with regulators who approved new products and issues.

Mr. Young noted: Kriss role is new to the organization and a critical part of the Wealth Management teams plans to deliver the platforms, products and people we need to allow us to effectively compete for the investment business of retail, corporate, institutional and wealth clients, whether they are regional domestic clients or international clients. He will have responsibility for our business serving these clients in the banks two domestic Securities and Asset Management companies in Jamaica and Barbados and delivering investment product sales for International clients, including those served by CIBC FirstCaribbeans six International Banking Centres. We feel fortunate to have someone of his calibre on board. Mrs. Cyrus will remain based at CIBC FirstCaribbeans Warrens Head Office in Barbados and Mr. Marcus will be based in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
