Ko te Mana te Mea Nui Honour Above All REMINDER Teachers Only Day tomorrow Friday 9th November. School will be closed.

Hello World, Isn't it wonderful to see the sun shining again? That mountain really is stunning set against the blue sky. So last Friday, the Hunterville Cross Country competitors, myself and our parent driver Matt Gates had quite an adventure on our way down to Hunterville to compete. You wouldn't believe it, but about 10 kms out of Hunterville we broke down! We slowed down for some road works, and whoops no clutch, and no gears! Yep, we killed the Community Services Van sorry Carolyn :-) Luckily, Super Kerry arranged for Hunterville School to pick us up and the towies to collect the van while the wonderful Raetihi School kindly gave us a lift home in their bus. Actually it was amazing how many people offered to help us, the roadworks guys offered to squeeze us all into their road works truck and Mangaweka and Pukeokahu School parents offered their spare seats to drop us off (well out of their way!) Rangitikei is such an amazing place to live with so much help and support. Having made it safely to Hunterville, our kids ran/performed exceptional well. Hunterville Cross Country is the biggest primary school running event in the area, with over 100 competitors in each race. Of the seven children we took down, both Kade Gates and Mohi Williams made the top ten in their respective races (I figured out that for every kilometre I could run, Mohi could run 3km! #superstar). Our other competitors did really well. All finished respectably in the middle range. So I have a big congratulations for Warren Williams, Carson Hepi, Nikau Rapana, Ihaia McGregor, Marghret Deekatavara for competing in this high class event. Ka kite ano, Marama
