Carp fishing competition abng One Mile Creek, An event for people of all ages and abilities. The fishing competition is free to enter however competitors must be registered before they start fishing
The competition is open to people between the ages of ten and ninety years old. There will be special fishing activities for children under ten years of age,
Prizes awarded in different categories (Most Caught, Longest, Smallest, Juvenile etc) Registrations prior to event via email or on the day. The competition will begin at Sam and finished at 12pm followed by a free BBQ lunch. The participants or legal guardian agree that they will: Take reasonable care for their own safety Accompany and supervise all participants 15 years of age or under who are registered under their signature Wear sturdy, enclosed footwear Not do anything to harm themselves or other participants and volunteers Obey all lawful directions and instructions of any officials wearing an official vest at all times Be disqualified if they are found breaking competition rules or fishing regulations Comply with fishing methods set out in State of Victoria legal requirements Fish in One Mile Creek or any water ponds along One Mile Creek between Batchelors Green and the Roy Street bridge, or other parts of the Creek at participants' discretion Agree the judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into Agree any one fish may only win one prize and all prizes must be accepted as there is no cash in lieu of prizes Need to be present to receive their prize Need to be registered to be eligible for prizes Return any native fish safely to the water in a careful manner Kill fish quickly and humanely
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: most caught, longest, smallest, brightest, most caught by a child under 15 years. Prizes will be presented at 2pm on 25 November at Batchelors Green following a fishing competition starting at Sam and finishing at 12pm.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION On the day you will need to sign our Participant Registration Form. In the meantime please note the following points for your information, comfort and safety: The fishing competition is free to enter, however competitors must be registered before they start fishing The competition is open to people between the ages of 10 and 90 years old. There will be special fishing activities for children under 10 years of age. Competitors may fish in any of the water ponds or creek between Batchelors Green and the Roy Street Bridge, or any other section of One Mile Creek at participant's discretion The competition will begin at Sam and finish at 12pm followed by a free BBQ lunch, and prizes are being presented at 2pm Fishing methods must comply with State of Victoria legal requirements Carp will be killed quickly and humanely Children under 15 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times All persons competing and participating do so at their own risk Bring your own fishing gear and bait (some will also be provided) . Enclosed footwear should be worn at all times Bring water, a hat, sunscreen and mosquito repellant (some will also be provided) There will be five prizes: most caught, longest, smallest, most caught by child and brightest Only registered competitors will be eligible for prizes Prizes will be presented at 2pm at Batchelors Green on Sunday, 25 November 2012 Winners must be present to receive their prize If you have any queries, please call Di Farmer on 0439 020 448.
