F u l l - f e at u r e d Architecture
ClearAccess+ offers a highly effective architecture. Its client-server architecture enables central management through a distributed network, allowing multiple users to control hundreds of elements simultaneously, from any location. ClearAccess+ provides flexible interfaces to the Network Elements (NEs), from in-band ATM and TDM solutions to a variety of outof-band DCN (Data Communications Network) solutions, including TCP/IP, X.25 and PSTN.
A TMF-based CORBA northbound interface, SQL interface to the management systems database and SNMP interface to the Network Element, enable ClearAccess+ to seamlessly integrate with the operators network and OSS systems in order to streamline end-toend provisioning and service assurance. Running on a standard PC, ClearAccess+ saves costs, and its user-friendly Windows environment and GUI facilitate OAM&P tasks, saving you time and effort. Finally, a Local Craft Terminal (LCT) provides all the functionality required for on-site operation and maintenance via the same familiar GUI used in the ClearAccess+ workplace.

With ClearAccess+, service providers can monitor and assess xDSL services from the subscribers perspective. The EMS generates a service status report consolidating all the information relevant for each subscriber, including configuration parameters, statistics, and active alarms affecting the selected service.
Fault Management
ClearAccess+ alerts you with real-time pinpointed fault information to ensure immediate action, guaranteeing consistent QoS and customer satisfaction. Color-coded alarm status, which is displayed throughout all network levels, provides upto-the minute network status indications at a glance. To ensure quick, easy tracking, the alarm database displays a detailed listing of all alarms, including alarm severity, type, location and time, as well as the relevant troubleshooting methodology for handling these alarms. The systems flexibility in defining alarm severity levels can accommodate different standards for fault handling, the physical location of the Network Element or its importance in the network. In order to track a pending fault as well as prevent future problems, ClearAccess+ offers a variety of line testing, loops, and diagnostic capabilities.
Performance Management
ClearAccess+ continually evaluates your networks behavior over any period of time to assess its performance and maintain continuous QoS. The system immediately reports any violation of a pre-defined service level, enabling the operator to take preventive action and ensure customer satisfaction. Information on performance is retrieved, stored in a database and displayed for E1, SDH, PDH and ATM, as well as for Ethernet, ADSL, G.SHDSL and VDSL services. Performance data can then be exported to various types of files for further processing by external applications. ClearAccess+ provides statistics on the volume of data conveyed, including the total number of calls, the sum of holding times and the sum of unsuccessful calls due to lack of resources. The results of traffic measurements form the basis for planning network extensions and help detect capacity bottlenecks.
Security Management
ClearAccess+ gives you flexible security mechanisms to build your access levels and assign access privileges to network managers according to their region and job functions. Appropriate network information is then allocated to your system users according to their level of authorization. Access privileges are granted via individual user identifications and passwords, and user blocking eliminates unauthorized personnel from entering the system.
