Weekly Reflection: On this feast of Christ the King, the Gospel message calls us to put Jesus Christ at the center of our faith; to turn our hearts and minds to Jesus who is our Lord and King. How strong is your own faith in Jesus, our King? Do you listen to his voice and welcome him into your heart?

Isaac Hecker Quote Paradise was to behold all things in God face to face. Sin caused us to lose this union. Eliminate sin and all affection for it, and this union will again be restored to us. This restoration is the work of the church. For the church not only seeks to save mans soul for all eternity but also to restore him on earth to his paradisiacal state. For proof of this she puts in Gods hands the lives of the saints. [Spiritual Notebook, 1854] Paulist Fathers Mission Statement We give the Word of God a voice in pulpits and print, on radio and television, on the Web and the wide screen. We search out those who have no church home, and welcome home those who have been away. We share the passion of St. Paul for unity in faith and solidarity in mission among all the baptized in the body of Christ. We build bridges of respect and collaboration with people of other world religions. We welcome people of diverse racial and cultural backgrounds in our parish, city center and campus worshipping communities. The Gospel we preach calls for all the children of God to be treated with dignity and justice. We claim Isaac Hecker as our founder, the Holy Spirit as our primary guide, St. Paul as our patron and laity as our valued partners in mission. We are the Paulist Fathers.
