Pesavento Months Mind by Teresa & Matt Monos
As we come near to the end of this liturgical year, we are reminded that the end is coming soon. Our Catechism reminds us: Since the Ascension Christ's coming in glory has been imminent, even though 'it is not for you to know times or seasons which the father has fixed by his own authority' (673). As we gather to worship this day, may we always be prepared for the coming of the Lord.
The Churchs love for the poor...is a part of her constant tradition (Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 2444). The Collection for the Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) provides funding for groups that create lasting change and uplift the poor in the United States. In the last five years, over 36% of CCHDs grants have gone toward advancing education, supporting economic development, and improving housing in low-income neighborhoods. You can help participate in this tradition today. Fight poverty in America. Defend human dignity. Give to the CCHD Collection.
