Singapore Airlines have received numerous awards for the standard of service it provides. It claims to be "The World's Most Awarded Airline". Singapore Airlines flies to 63 destinations in 34 countries on five continents from its primary hub in Singapore. Cathay Pacific Airways Limited is the flag carrier airline of Hong Kong, with its headquarters at Hong Kong International Airport. The airline's operations include scheduled passenger and cargo services to 114 destinations in 36 countries worldwide with a fleet of 126 wide-body aircraft, consisting of Airbus A330s and A340s, Boeing 747s and 777s. Qatar Airways Company is the flag carrier airline of Qatar, based in Doha. It operates a hub and spoke network, linking over 80 international destinations. It is among the only six airlines awarded 5-star rating by Skytrax. Qatar Airways operates services to over 85 destinations. Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is the government-owned flag carrier airline of Malaysia. Malaysia Airlines operates flights from its home base, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, and its secondary hub in Kota Kinabalu. Malaysia Airlines now flies to 87 destinations across six continents from its primary hub in Kuala Lumpur. Asiana Airlines is an airline based in Seoul, South Korea and is one of South Korea's two major airlines, along with Korean Air. The airline is headquartered at Asiana Town, Seoul (near Gimpo Airport), international hub at Incheon International Airport and its domestic hub at Gimpo International Airport. Asiana offers 13 domestic, 81 international passenger routes and 20 cargo routes. Kingfisher Airlines Limited is a major Indian airline based in Mumbai. Kingfisher operates more than 400 flights a day and has a network of 80 destinations, with regional and long-haul international services. Kingfisher has its registered office in the UB Tower in Bangalore and its head office in the Kingfisher House in Mumbai.

Slide 4 The Arabian Desert is a vast desert wilderness stretching from Yemen to the Persian Gulf and Oman of Jordan and Iraq. It occupies most of the Arabian Peninsula. Rainfall is about 35 mm, (1.38) per annum and relatively dry. The Gobi is a large desert region on Asia. It covers parts of northern and northwestern China, and of the Southern Mongolia. The Kalahari Desert is a large arid to semi-arid sandy area in Southern Africa, covering much of Botswana and parts of Namibia and South Africa. It usually receives 3-7 inches (76-190 mm) of rain per year. (4 marks ) Slide 5 The Patagonian Desert, also known as the Patagonian Desert or the Patagonian Steppe, is the largest desert in America. The Great Victoria Desert is a barren, arid and sparsely populated desert eco region in Southern Australia. The Syrian Desert also known as the Syro-Arabian desert is a combination of steppe and true desert that is located in the northern Arabian Peninsula.
