Old Lyme, CT June 2010 Miles of Memories: A Walk to benefit the Alzheimers Association Planned a community walk-a-thon in which all the proceeds went to the Alzheimers Association Collected donations totaling $800 from local organizations by contacting businesses to get food, custom TShirts, advertising materials, and decoration materials for the event Advertised the event by hanging local flyers around town, creating a Facebook event, and using word of mouth Raised over 1,600 dollars for the Alzheimers Association of CT with the help of over 70 walkers
