Committee Report: Planning, Land Use, & Beautification Carl reported the BOTACH investigation is going slowly. The Citys minimal staff and lower budgets dont allow inspectors to do overtime. Inspectors also oversee larger areas than before. Lark insisted the Board needs a person to come and speak. BOTACH has been able to expand because no one has been staying on top of the issue. Inspector Todd or Luke Zamperini of Building & Safety, and Jan Deandre, City Attorney need to supply a plan of action, what the Board can expect regarding resolution. The Urban Planning Academy only had room for 30 registrants but there are 42 instead, including 1 teenager. Attendance will be 52, which includes the staff. The Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza will provide a staff, prepare the room, audio, and WiFi.
