The Lion's Roar

Alpha Omega Academy December 2012

Carolines Corner
PTF President 'Tis the season to be jolly....According to Webster's Dictionary, "jolly" means "joyous". That's one of the things I like about this season. It seems people in general are joyful. For what blessings are you joyful? The Lord, my family, good health, and our home usually top my list. I am joyful that this season opens people's hearts to the Lord. I am joyful for Alpha Omega Academy. How blessed my family is to be a part of this school! This place has (unknowingly) answered many prayers and met many needs in our family. The staff is Christian. My children are being led by teachers who immerse themselves in HIS Word daily. My children are surrounded by adults who love them and want what's best for them - staying on the right path here on earth and ultimately making it to heaven. I can go to a staff member with a problem and not worry about his/her reaction because I know we both have HIM as our starting point. What a continual blessing from AOA! As you continue through this season, please keep Galatians 5:22-23 in mind.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, JOY, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law."

A Big Thank You

The AOA teachers and staff members would like to express their gratitude to all of the parents that brought items to the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon last month. Thank you to all of the parents that helped as Lunch Room monitors so that all of the teachers could attend. They enjoyed the great food and fellowship with one another.

Restaurant Night
Thank you to McKenzies Barbeque and all the families who participated in our Restaurant Night in November. McKenzies donated $250 to AOA!

Blessing Tree
Be a Blessing to someone this holiday season. Partnering with SAAFE House, AOA families can help those in need through The Blessing Tree. There are stars and angels hanging on the tree. The stars list necessary items needed while the angels list are children's toys. There are about 90 stars and angels on the tree. The tree is set up in the conference room, near the library. Parents who would like to help can select a star or angel and write their name down on the list by the tree. Purchase the item listed, wrap it, tape the angel/star to the item, and put it under the tree. SAAFE House will come and pick up the items and deliver them to those in need! The last th date to turn in items is Monday, December 17 .
