    Council Member Jerry Davis offers condolences for Senator Mario Gallegos HOUSTON October 16, 2010 It is with great sadness that I express my condolences to the family of our good friend, Senator Mario Gallegos. As we reflect on his passing, we will remember him for being one of the hardest working Latino leaders in the greater Houston community. Elected in 1994, Sen. Gallegos impacted the community through legislation, activism, and dedication. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
