Convenient. Memorable. Three attributes that will spark the savviest smart shoppers interest this holiday season. Kodak has reinvented what capturing the holidays is all about. With its newest app, Kodak helps consumers give the gift of creativity. At the turn of the century, Kodak identified itself as a holiday must-have. In a 1914 edition of The Sydney Mail, Kodak was identified with the following tag line: A Holiday without Kodak is a holiday wasted. Adults and children of all economic backgrounds sought a Kodak camera on their holiday wish list. In 2012, not too much has changed. Kodak is encouraging shoppers to purchase their newest application, Kapture, with the digital consumer in mind. Kapture allows users to create online scrapbooks with the camera filters and adjustments photographers use today. Complete with Adobe Photoshop, Kapture offers users the ability to edit photos at the convenience of their mobile devices. Douglas Edwards, Eastman Kodak Company president, foresees great progress in the ever-changing digital age. With the majority of our modern consumers purchasing Kodak products online, it only makes sense for the company to push a digital outlet for innovation, Edwards said. There is a hunger and need for all things digital and gift giving this season is no different.

So what exactly can Kapture do? With a variety of holiday gifts in mind, Kodak has produced many opportunities for users to utilize their newest application. Kapture not only allows its users to create the beloved scrapbook but in partnership with local kiosks, there is awareness for tangible items as well. Located in the main menu of Kapture, users can locate the nearest kiosk by entering their zip code to track down their most convenient option. Walgreens, CVS, Target, Wal-Mart and Costco have all announced their partnership with Kodak. Simply, Kapture literally keeps it real. From phone cases to coffee mugs, laptop covers to tote bags, Kapture has the modern day consumer in mind. In recent years, Kodak has focused on digital prints however this step into the digital arena proves its well-known spot as a photography connoisseur. George Eastman said it best when his goal of making photography as convenient as the pencil became a reality. Since 1888, Kodak has kept its promise to make photo taking and sharing simple.
