A thought from Natalie The theme of this years no idea how God is going to work

How do I summarize the past

year? How do I even summarize the past month? There are so many dynamics and aspects to cover. Uganda is my home. I have an established life there, friends that mean so much to me, and a spiritual family to walk with me

newsletter is thankfulness. I am
thankful that God reminds me of his faithfulness in different ways throughout each day. I am so thankful to be living in Gods grace. A friend that lives in Uganda told me this year, It is Gods grace that brought us here

this out But, time and time

again, He has proven He is already in control of it all and more than faithful to fulfill His promises. And, I am thankful that I daily witness the abounding love and hope of Jesus. Like parents who delight in seeing their children

through this journey called life.

Though many people do not consider my career conventional, I love my job. It is a great mix of challenge, flexibility, creativity and reward. (Oh, the great reward of those sweet faces I see and silly stories I hear every day. These children are truly my joy).

[to Uganda] and His grace that

keeps us here. This statement has had a great impact on me. I am thankful for the mighty hand and power of God. There have been a number of times this year that I have said to myself, I have

and

develop, I, too, get to observe the same miraculous transformation in the lives of 109 children at Lulwanda Childrens Home (LCH). God is raising up leaders, scholars, pastors, teachers, and everything in between. It is a joy to see them grow.

Insight into the Program Coordinator Role As program coordinator, one of my main duties is to host visitors. This task is bigger than it sounds. Plans, preparations, bookings, and organizing begin as early as January. As God continues to make His name great through LCH, more individuals and teams want to be part of what He is doing. This year we hosted three individuals, two teams, two groups of world travellers, and numerous visitors who came for a day or two. From teacher training to painting, shelf building to lip-dub singing, CPR lessons to speech and reading assessments, field days to community outreach with all of our kiddos it has who came for a day or two.

been a wonderful and fun year. I

love seeing how God continues to bring creative and loving people to LCH to share their interests, talents and love.

Game Night
A missionarys social life is ever changing as volunteers come from all over the world and stay for any length of time. My housemate, Tiffany, and I began a Tuesday game night that has become a highlight of the week. We have had people from the USA, England, Australia,

Scotland, and New Zealand over for food, fellowship, and fun. Not only am I immersed in the Ugandan culture, but I also am learning about differences between the cultures of the Western world.

HOWDY, Texas!

Having gone 21 months since last stepping on American soil, I arrived in

Texas just in time for Thanksgiving. I look forward to spending quality time with friends and family that I miss dearly while I am in Uganda. I also will have the opportunity to share at different churches about how the Lord continues to shower His love on the children at LCH. One highlight of this trip is two LCH children who will come to Texas in January. I am excited to reciprocate the hospitality they have shown me by hosting them at my home in Texas. I will return to Uganda (with the

children) on the 2nd of February.

Thank You! I am so grateful to all of you who continue to stand with me in this journey. I am grateful for the emails and Facebook messages I receive with encouragement or updates on what is happening in your life. I also have felt the power of your prayers through good health, safety and strength when I am weary. Thank you. And, of course, I am forever grateful to those who stand beside me through their financial support. It is through you that my ministry is possible. So, thank you, each of you, for

The Little Things

It is the little things that count and bring great joy to a day. Not a day passes without the warm children

greetings

from

during break or lunch. Sometimes, I am surprised as they sneak up behind me and put their hands over my eyes for me to guess who it is. Or, little helpers will sit on my lap as I work, not minding if I speak but just wanting to be near. I often am asked to come see this or that (a puppy, something they planted that is now growing, etc.) or told a story about what

the role you play in my life and at Lulwanda Childrens Home. May the
Lord richly bless you!

happened at school that day.

Whether I am walking hand in hand through the field with them or singing songs to a small group in the dormitory, these are the moments that make each day a treasure.
