President Benigno Noy-noy Aquino, Jr. declared October 26, 2012 as a REGULAR HOLIDAY in observance of Eidul Adha. This is under his Presidential Proclamation No. 488 declaring the said date as a REGULAR HOLIDAY all over the country in observance of the FEAST of SACRIFICE, or the Eidul Adha, one of the two greatest feasts in ISLAM. The proclamation was signed last October 9. With this, we inform you of the following changes in the institutional celebrations of the school:

Gr. 4-9 PAC, CHOIR MEMBERS TO ATTEND CHILDRENS CONGRESS on the HOLY CHILDHOOD and PROPAGANDA FIDE
The Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI exhorts us to highlight in all masses during the World Mission Sunday the theme for the New Evangelization which purposely is also the theme for the Year of Faith : Called to radiate the World of Truth (Apostolic Letter Porta Fidei, n.6). The Pope points out that this year, the celebration of World Mission Day has a very special meaning. The Archdiocese of Caceres Office for Mission has invited the Head of School, Institution, Community, Organization and Group to send participants to the CHILDRENS CONGRESS on the HOLY CHILDHOOD and PROPAGANDA FIDE (Propagation of Truth) on OCTOBER 21, 2012 (Sunday from 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at ages 8-18 years old coming from parishes, catholic, and non-sectarian schools in all Diocese of Bicol Region. There is non-refundable solidarity fee per participants. Participants and teacher-chaperons shall bring their packed lunch; also bring with them their rosaries.
This is a non-compulsory activity, but we encourage you to allow your child to join this event. Attendance to this Religious Activity bears NO ARA points. NO CHAPERONS ALLOWED.

NEWS TIDBITS Its Halloween Craze


HCECi TO SPONSOR HOLY ROSARY & MASS TODAY at ST. ANTHONY of PADUA
The school is invited as one of the sponsors in the whole month celebration of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary and is assigned to lead the Holy Rosary and to offer in the said mass today, October 19, 2012 at 4:00 in the afternoon. In this connection, all grade 6 pupils residing in Iriga City will and attend and offer in any kind at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Iriga City. Attendance will be checked by their class advisers and/or Char.Ed./Religion teacher. The pupils are required to bring their ROSARY.

The spine-chilling, hair-raising, eerie but well-loved costumes of the different Halloween characters will once again crowd the pavement of Holy Child Educational Center, Inc on October 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m.
Here are the guidelines: 1. COME in any costume. It doesnt need to be new nor expensive. You can be creative by using indigenous materials or recycled materials. 2. A Trick or Treat game will be prepared by the Level PTA Officers and PTA Executive Board for the kids to enjoy the party more. 3. There will be three parts of the program: A. Short Program Parade of Costumes and Level Dance Presentations B. Classroom Party bring pot-luck foods to be shared to 3-4 persons. Please coordinate with your childs adviser. C. Trick or Treat at the pavement bring your TRICK or TREAT BASKET 4. To help facilitate and realize the Trick or Treat, each pupil/student is benevolently asked to bring and share one or more packs of candies to be submitted to his class adviser starting Monday, October 23, 2012. These candies will be the give-away for the Trick or Treat.

HCECi SCOUTS TO PARTICIPATE COUNCILWIDE JAMBOREE


The BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES, IRIGA CITY COUNCIL will hold its Council-Wide Jamboree on October 19-21, 2012 at San Agustin, Iriga City. The attendance in the council wide jamboree is a prerequisite to the 2nd ONE SOUTHERN LUZON JAMBORETTE on November 28 December 02, 2012 at Mt. Makiling, Los Baos, Laguna as said in the Council Memorandum # 11, s. 2012. The HCECi scouts will be joined by the HCECi BSP Coordinator, Sctr. Dominico T. Bagacina, together with Sctr. Dario Cornelio and Sctr. Ronny Nacario.

NON-UN DANCERS TO PREPARE the HALLOWEEN LEVEL PRESENTATION


Non-Participants of the UN Level Presentation will prepare the Level Presentation for the Halloween Craze 2012 Program on October 25, 2012 at exactly 3:00 in the afternoon. This is to give maximum participation of the pupils during the sem-ender activities. They will be trained by their respective class advisers. 3 ARA points will be given to those who will wear the costume and perform the presentation.

HCECi EB IS SPONSORING TRICK or TREAT 2012


The HCECi PTA Executive Board will once again sponsor the annual Trick or Treat as the culminating activity of the school for the first semester as part of the Halloween Craze 2012. HCECians will be enticed to go to the Halloween BOOTH prepared by the Level PTA Officers. The kids will be asked to do the TRICK or TREAT, and if they choose TREAT they will be given some goodies or treats.

Note : We encourage you to give other giveway items aside from candies. We suggest fruits like apples, ponkans, dalanghita, or small usable items like erasers, sharperners, and toys. This is to lessen the candies which we know are not good for their teeth and health.
