October 12,2012 Chris Fogarty Fogarty Finger 289 Hudson Street New York, NY 10013

Chris Fogarty, I am writing in response to a job posting for an opening for an entry level Junior architect. I have seen the work and design that comes out from your firm, and it has captured my attention greatly. I am interested in the job offer, and believe that I am what you are looking for. I currently have experience in design, in various disciplines. I have taken many design courses at the university level which are applicable to the architectural work that would take place at the firm. I've taken courses ranging from 3D design processes and architectural drafting which provided me with the tools necessary to be successful in the architectural field. I have also taken courses in design theories and history of classic and modern architecture from the 1800's to current styles. I'm a quick learner and adapt quickly to the pace of the environment, and a New York architecture firm is the ideal location for growth in this discipline. As an entry level associate of the studio, I would be willing to take on the challenges of learning the skills of the industry and to ensure that work gets done properly and efficiently. I hope to hear a response soon, on a possible interview in which I could demonstrate my capacity for this position more. I have attached my resume with all my contact information. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely, Carlos Castro

6 What I would ask them: 1. What is the company's goal to create sustainable architecture? 2. How is work done in the office, to ensure maximum presentability on projects? (i.e. Traditional Drafting or CAD) 3. How are projects handled, is multitasking a common factor in the studio?
