This news article is essentially a compilation of reliable articles that the author felt exposed the ties that government has with secret societies. He goes on to explain that he was a translator for important government meetings and at first he never saw signs of any sort of involvement of secret societies in government affairs. However, in June of 2001 he apparently received some shocking news that led him to delve deeper into the hypothesis of conspiratorial groups controlling the government. He continued to provide articles from top news providers such as NBC and BBC that revealed information about several secret societies including the Bilderberg group and the Skull and Bones society. This article reveals some of the hidden agendas of popular secret societies which is a main focus of my paper. The several articles linked on this page provide valuable details from valuable sources that I can use as evidence in my paper.

Nieves 2 The Author of the article is former U.S. State Department member Fred Burks. He stepped down from the position after being asked to keep too many secrets. He later served as a language interpreter for several people of political importance including former president George W. Bush. The fact that he had access to secret meetings as a language interpreter means that he had inside information. It talks about a reporter named Alexandra Robbins who has been the first person to ever get some of the Bonesmen to reveal some of their secrets. The article mentions that she was threatened by several of the members for snooping around their organization. She published a book on the society titled Secrets of the Tomb: Skull and Bones. Admission to the society is very selective and most of Americas most powerful families had a family member in the Skull and Bones Society. Almost every president that attended Yale was a member of the Skull and Bones Society. This article provides crucial details on one of the most elusive secret societies in the world. The biggest worry I had with my paper was whether or not I would be able to find concrete evidence of the hidden agendas of these secret societies. Fortunately, the information has been witnessed by several people and openly admitted by some of the members of the society.

This is a CBS article about a secret society called Skull and Bones. Skull and Bones is a society of only prestigious Yale University seniors that conduct rituals and meeting in total secret in a windowless tomb on the Yale campus. Several of the members of this society go on to become influential members of society but what is reported to go on in the tomb is rather disturbing. During induction ceremonies there are three different members dressed up as different characters including the Pope, Don Quixote, and the Devil and the lead fifteen worthy Yale seniors through the initiation process. During these initiations people have reported strange noises and screams coming from the crypt. Recognizable figures of the Skull and Bones society include George Bush and John Kerry. This article provides useful information that has been proven true that I can use as solid evidence in my paper. I want to investigate the secrets behind some of the worlds most infamous secret societies and this article contains information from the members themselves. This will help provide some concrete evidence which is usually lacking when it comes to controversial topics such as the one that Im covering. The author of the article is Rebecca Leung. She has her M.S. from Columbia School of Journalism. She was the coordinating producer at CBS News and she wrote segments for 60 minutes. CBS News published her article. CBS News is a legitimate worldwide news provider.

The article provided general information about the creation of some of histories secret societies and they spread their influence throughout world. He mentioned some of the worlds first Free Masons such as Thomas Jefferson and how Free Masonry was one of the largest secret societies that most of the other groups modeled themselves after. Adam Weishaupt was the founding member of the Illuminati or the illuminated ones. He joined one of the Masonic lodges in order to spread the ideas of the Illuminati throughout their ranks thus converting large numbers of Free Masons into members of the Illuminati. His secret society was divided into a pyramid-style chain of command. Weishaupt was at the very top and he had two people who were second in command and they had two people under them and so on. This article provides useful information about the history of secret societies. This is essential for my paper because I first need to investigate the roots before I can elaborate on the societies of modern times. This article also creates clear connections between some of histories most important figures and infamous secret societies which I can use to argue whther or not a global conspiracy is a possibility or just a crack-pot theory. Jim Marrs has a B.A. in Journalism and he attended grad school at Texas Tech. He is an investigative journalist and wrote a book on the Kennedy assassination that made the New York Times nonfiction best seller list. He worked for several newspaper agencies in Texas and retired as a professor at the University of Texas Arlington. He has been a guest speaker on T.V. networks such as the history channel.

Print. The book titled Secret Societies thoroughly describes some of the worlds most notorious secret societies. Chapter two talks about the Templars, Illuminati, and Free Masons and hoe they correlate with one another. The Knights Templar were originally a group of holy warriors that pledged to protect religious pilgrims. The order quickly grew into a large organization that owned most of Europes wealth. They were accused of acts of blasphemy and conspiracy and the King of France at the time had their leader burned at the stake and took the money in their treasury. The Templars were abolished but people say that they survived through the formation of Free Masonry. People also make the claim that Masonic lodges shelter members of the Illuminati. This book is useful for my paper because it covers the history of secret societies in depth. It provides me with factual information rather than theories and assumed connections which will make my paper more credible. This book lists the original formation of popular secret societies and states their original intentions. It then introduces theories of conspiracy and backs them up using factual historical evidence which exactly what I plan on doing in my paper. The author of the book is John Lawrence Reynolds. He graduated from McMaster University with a degree in English and Psychology. He is the winner of two Arthur Ellis awards for best mystery novel. He also received a National Business Book award and a National Magazine award.
