BARANGAY PACOL

GEOPHYSICAL INFORMATION A. LOCATION Barangay Pacol is an urban area situated in the East of Barangay Carolina, in the West of Barangay San Felipe, in the South of Barangay Cararayan and in the North of Municipality of Magarao. B. TOPOGRAPHY The land area of the Barangay Pacol is 11.84 square kilometer and it is 15.28% of the total land area of Naga City. C. LAND USE The agricultural area occupies the majority land area of Barangay Pacol with 9.21 square kilometers or 77.79% while the remaining 2.63 square kilometers or 22.21% is residential area . The type of soil is Tigaon Clay D. HYDROGRAPHY The waterways in the area is Pacol River. There are creeks presents in the area namely: Calauag at Zone 6-7, Ingatngat at Zone - 3-5-6, Santo Ario at Zone 2-5, Banao at Zone 6-7, Baganito at Zone 2-7and Gamlongan at Zone - 2 creek. There are also Springs that can we found in the Barangay there are Animas at Zone 5 and Borabod at Zone 2. Barangay has plenty of Dams, They called them Odiamar Sabedco and Santoario at Zone 5, Animas at Zone 5, San Jose at Zone 1 and Pederis Manubay at Zone 2. Barangay is experiencing flashflood at the Pacol Resettlement Area Bridge due to the Type of bridge which is culvert and at the Km. 6 and Km. 5.a. E. B. HOUSEHOLD The total number of household as of 1998 is 572 an average of 6 individuals per household. C. SETTLEMENT AND HOUSING DATA The Community Multi-Sectoral Assembly that was conducted last September 1998 shows that the out of 600 total number of household 195 or 33% are two storey or multi storey, and the remaining 405 or 68% are single storey. Moreover in building resistance 360 or 60% are in High Risk with light materials, 180 or 30% are in Medium Risk with Semi-concrete building with G.I. Roofing, 36 or 6% are in Low Risk with Concrete frame with G.I. Roof and Walls and the remaining 24 or 4% are No Risk. D. AGE DISTRIBUTION

The top two (2) illnesses in the past five tears in the Barangay are Cough and Cold and fever. G. GENDER DEVELOPMENT Barangay Pacol has a minimal discrepancy in numbers between Male and Female population. LIVELIHOOD The means of livelihood in the Barangay are: Small and Large Scale entrepreneurs, Developer of Real Estate and Farming. C. COMMERCIAL There is a total of 4 commercial establishments existing in the Barangay that includes Hotel/Pension House, Real Estate Developer, Recreation or Amusement Center and Rice and Corn Mill. These establishments contribute a total annual tax due of 247,908.63. From this, the minimum tax value that the City received from this establishment is 1,500.00 and the maximum tax value is 242,976.60. The gross sale of 46,440 computed annually. D. AGRICULTURE There is agricultural land area in the Barangay.
