CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR JESUS!


Family Night Activities December 28, 2012 Calendar GOD NEVER CHANGES

Preparation: Youll be wrapping the gifts for Jesus. After lighting the last advent candle you will talk about what gifts we can give to Jesus. If the gift is an intangible one, then make a card or note and wrap it. You will need: Gift wrapping paper, bags, bows, tape, scissors etc. Christmas music Christmas snacks (We like to do a Birthday cake for Jesus!)

Fourth Advent Candle: Love Light all four candles - Hope, Peace, Joy and Love Read John 3:16. For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. (NLT) Read Zephaniah 3:17. For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. (NLT) Read John 15:9. Jesus said, I have loved you even as the Father has loved Me. Remain in My love. (NLT) Prayer: Thank God for His great love for us. Extinguish the flames. What was the very first Christmas gift? Jesus, Himself, was Gods Christmas present to the world! He could have given us riches beyond our dreams or anything else we might want, but He gave us something far more expensive and

preciousHimself. Why? More than anything else, our Personal God wanted a relationship with us. Because God Never Changes, He still does! Jesus gift never wears out or breaks. His gift is for everyone who will accept it. Since Christmas is His birthday, wouldnt it be nice to have some gifts for Him under the tree? What do you think Jesus would like from you? If you put a gift under the tree for Jesus, what do you think Hed want from youa thank you note, a promise to read the Bible and get to know Him better, a doll or a truck to give to a poor child? (This question may take some coaching from you. Share with them some of the gifts youve given, or plan to give, the Lord. Wrap the presents while enjoying Christmas music, treats and conversation about Jesus gift of love for us. When you take down the Christmas decorations, have each person put their gift somewhere in their room as a reminder throughout the year of the gift they gave to Jesus.
