AT&T EXPANDS NATIONS LARGEST 4G NETWORK TO ORANGE COUNTY

New Cell Site Activated as Part of Ongoing AT&T Investment in Local Wireless Network ORANGE, VA, NOVEMBER 8, 2012 The nations largest 4G network just got larger for customers in Orange County. AT&T* has activated a new 4G mobile Internet cell site throughout Orange County, including Zachary Taylor Highway and Constitution Highway, that will enhance coverage for area residents and businesses and provide speeds up to four times faster than 3G.** AT&T customers have access to the nations largest 4G network, covering 275 million people and now 3,000 more 4G cities and towns than Verizon. The 4G expansion is part of AT&Ts continuing network investment to support the growing demand for mobile devices, apps and faster mobile Internet speeds. AT&T has invested over $140 million in its Virginia wireless and wired networks in 2012 thus far. Demand for wireless speed is growing rapidly, and we are excited to continue supporting Orange County residents and businesses with our super-fast speeds to residents and businesses, said Vince Apruzzese, regional vice president for AT&T-Virginia. Even as AT&T continues to expand its 4G LTE coverage in 2012 and 2013, customers can get 4G speeds outside of 4G LTE areas on our 4G HSPA+ network, unlike competitors, where customers fall back to slower 3G technologies when outside of LTE coverage.
