Admission criteria

To be eligible to apply to the ISB, you need to have,

a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline. a GMAT score. TOEFL/IELTS/PTE (only if the language of instruction at undergraduate level study was not English). preferably two years or more of full time work experience.

STEP 1 - Completing the online application Complete the online application with the following information:
Personal details. Contact information and details for you and your parents/spouse details (if married). Income details and proof of income (for you, your parents (spouse, if married) are mandatory, if you are Applying for an ISB Need Based Tuition Waiver/Scholarship or Nurture India Scholarship).

GMAT & TOEFL/IELTS/PTE (if applicable) scores. Upload a pdf scan copy (Official or Unofficial/Test Centre score report) in the upload documents page. Education details: If you just have a diploma and which according to you is equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree, you will need to obtain an equivalence certificate from the respective university or from World Education Services (http://www.wes.org ), USA. The onus of proving this lies totally with you.

Academic Verification: We will verify application information and reserve the right to withdraw any offer of admission already made if there is any discrepancy between the self-reported information and information ascertained through verification.
These verification checks are conducted through an independent agency and will be carried out only after an offer has been made and you have accepted it.

Employment details: Please make sure that there is no clash of employment period with any full-time academic programme that you have undergone. If either of them is part-time or the academic programme is online or correspondence, then it is not considered a clash. If, in doubt, please contact admissions office for clarity.

Employment Verification: We will verify application information and reserve the right to withdraw any offer of admission already made if there is any discrepancy between the self-reported information and information ascertained through verification.

Awards received: You may submit certificates for significant awards you have received, once you have been short-listed for the interview. One Video Upload, Three mandatory application essays an additional essay (for reapplicants) to provide changes and achievements, if any, in the profile from previous application year.

Re-applicants need to submit an additional essay listing changes in their profile from the previous year/s. Your application is liable to rejection, if facts are not disclosed as part of your application. We look for sigificant improvement/s in the profile while screening re-applicants. You may always obtain a feedback on your previous application, to know areas that needs improvement.

Evaluations: Names and contact details of evaluators. Please make sure you start the process for obtaining evaluations/recommendations in the ISB format as soon as possible as it takes some time for your evaluators to complete and submit the same. The evaluations need to reach the ISB by the deadline you have chosen to apply for. Your recommenders can submit the Recos / Evaluations even before you submit your application. You will be able to view a soft copy of the evaluation, if you select the radio button "Online" on the evaluators details page. Please read through the questions given in the form to make sure who your evaluator/s should be.

Scholarship information and essay: Students interested in obtaining need based tuition waiver / scholarship or Nurture India Scholarship must fill and submit this along with the scholarship essay. Please ensure that you also submit proof of Income (Last drawn Salary slip, if employed or Income-tax returns, if self employed) for yourself, your parents/spouse(if married) as part of the application. Application without supporting documents will not be be considered complete.

Note:
The ISB online application need not be completed in one single session. You may save and go back to modify it any number of times. Please ensure that all the modifications are carried out before submission. Any change, update or achievements after submission of application may be communicated ny e-mail topgpadmissions@isb.edu. Application Print Preview: It is recommended that you look at the print preview, take a print and proof read the entire application paying special attention to dates, designations, salary figures, email id, contact

information, spelling errors etc., before you submit the application. Resume: There is no need for submitting a separate resume. The online application module will generate a resume in the format that we require, with the details you have filled as part of the application. It includes your Academic details, Employment details (along with responsibilities/achievements) an It includes your Academic details, Employment details (along with responsibilities/achievements) and awards & activities.

STEP 2 - Submitting your application

Application Inspector: This is to help you check if you have missed any essential or mandatory fields. You can also check the sequence that you need to follow for submitting an application. Changes: Please note that once you submit the application you cannot make any changes. Submit: To avoid heavy server traffic and potential delays, we encourage candidates to submit application materials as early as possible. Once you have checked that your application is complete click on the "Submit" button.

Payment of fee: Once you submit your application you will be taken to the application fee payment page. Please keep your credit card or internet banking details (ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Karnataka Bank, Yes Bank, Corporation Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce) ready for this payment before submitting the application.

Credit card: We accept any VISA or MASTERCARD for remitting the application fee. Other credit cards are not accepted. There is no restriction on using your friend's/relative's credit card for remitting the application fee.

Application fee: Pay the application fee online. The application fee is INR 3000 (approximately equivalent of US $ 60), The fee will be INR 1,000 (approximately equivalent of US $ 20) for re-applicants. Payment can be made using any VISA or Master card or Internet Banking option. You need to have an internet banking account with Bank of Rajasthan, ICICI, Axis, Yes, Karnataka, Corporation, OBC, South Indian or Vijaya Bank to remit using internet banking option.

Successful submission: Once your payment is processed online, you will get a confirmation number and a message informing you about the successful submission of your application. Please note this number for your records and quote this in subsequent communication with admissions team at ISB. You may copy a downloadable PDF version of this application on your system for your future use once you have finally submitted the application. It is to your advantage to submit your application as early as possible. Key application deadlines are detailed below. The Admissions Office will not review incomplete applications. Please note, all documents need to be scanned and uploaded online only. Hard copies / Prints will not be considered. Recommendations/evaluations should be submitted online only. They should be from professional sources and not from family members/friends. Interviews are part of our selection criteria. Candidates will be interviewed personally, if short-listed. We will conduct telephone-cum-skype interviews for Overseas short-listed applicants. Short-listed applicants will be provided with the ISB Skype ID and a telephone number (given in the interview mail) to call for the telephone interview. The interview is an indicator of our interest, but is not a guarantee of admission; it serves as one element among many that we consider. We regret, we will not be able to accomodate requests for decisions earlier than the dates announced.

Rolling admission process for international applicants To enable international applicants (those holding Non-Indian passport) to complete their VISA and other formalities, they can apply any time be fore January 15, 2013 (23:59:59 Hrs Indian Time). The applicant is likely to be interviewed within one month of submission of a complete application and will be informed about the decision two - three weeks from the date of the interview. Those selected for the programme

need to obtain student visa for the entire period of study. A copy of the visa need to submitted on the day of registration.

Evaluation Form

INSTRUCTIONS

We recommend that you submit an online Evaluation. However, if for any reason, your recommender is not in a position to submit it online, please select the radio button "Offline" and also submit reasons for doing so. If we find the reason to be logical/genuine, a soft copy of the form will be forwarded to you, which you may forward it to your recommendor / evaluator and ask him/her to fill it, sign and seal it in an envelope and forward it you or to the Admissions Office at the ISB. If your request for offline evaluation has been rejected by the Admissions Office, you will have to find an alternate evaluator and ensure that fresh details are incorporated in the evaluator details page.

Please note: Online & Offline: Your recommenders can submit their recos even before your submit your application. Online:
Please click "add" in this page and start this process as soon as possible as your evaluators / recommenders will need some time to go through and then provide a feedback in the ISB Format. You will need to click "Send request to ISB" to initiate this, else, the evaluator's details cannot be validated from our side.

Recommendations / evaluations should be professional and not from family members / friends. Please read

through the evaluation questions before you decide as to who your evalutor/s should be. You will be able to view a soft copy of the form, if you select the mode of submission as "online". in the evaluator details page. The evaluator's email id has to be an organisation id and not a personal one. If your evaluator is working for one organisation (say McKinsey) and working on a project with another organisation (Say Govt. of India), please provide the email id of your evaluator issued by McKinsey only. The admissions office will verify for the genuinity of the email id. Once the verification is done, the evaluators will be sent an email with a link on which they will be able to complete the evaluation form and submit it. The form cannot be edited, once it has been submitted, hence, please caution your evaluators to be careful while filling the form / submission. Please ensure that your evaluations are submitted latest by the deadline you are applying for. Offline:

The reason for offline evaluation should be convincing for ISB to validate the same. If for any reason your request

has been rejected, you will have to go back to the form and opt for the online evaluation.

Recommendations/evaluations should be professional and not from family members / friends.

Once the details filled by you are validated, you will receive a soft copy of the form by an email.nForward the 'evaluation form' to the evaluator whose name you have provided in the application.

Evaluator(s) may use own envelopes to seal (close) the evaluation form(s) and should sign across the flap of the envelope. Evaluations (in sealed / closed envelope/s) need to be forwarded to the Admissions Office at the ISB by the application deadline. Receipt of your offline evaluation will be sent to you by an email as soon as we scan and upload the hard copy received from you. Re-applicants:

If you are an applicant in 2012-13 (re-applying now) and would want to make use of your previous evaluation/s, you may do so by clicking the appropriate radio button. The application will search for the details of the previous year's evaluatior/s and automatically transfer the data to this year's application. However, this will happen only if you have chosen the option "Re-applicant" in the Applicant Information page and have filled in the"correct" Application reference number. In case you do not remember it, please obtain help from Admissions Office by writing to apphelp@isb.edu .

For those who applied prior to 2012-13, it will not be possible for us to integrate/co-relate your previous evaluation/s. In case you have submitted your evaluations in the previous year/s, but failed to submit your application, it will not be possible to integrate/co-relate your evaluations with your fresh application. Please note, you will not be able to view the details of your evalutors using the preview option, if you are re-using your previous evaluations. However, the details will be available in the data that we download from the portal after your submission.
