D.O. Montsant
History
For 10 years, the D.O. Montsant and its member wineries currently numbered at 57 wineries and 44 private labels have been faced with a great challenge: that of carving a place for themselves in the competitive and demanding world of wine. It has been tough and it still is tough. In order to face this ongoing challenge, we know must remain true to a certain way of thinking. And in the Montsant winemaking region with 1,900 hectares of vineyard and a global production of 5 million bottles, we are true to high standards of quality and we firmly believe in our unique product.

Grape Varieties
Garnatxa (Grenache) and Carinyena (Carignan), the native grape varieties of Montsant, are the essence of its wines. This is also what experts such as Jos Pen believe and claim that a Montsant wine should be understood as an association between Grenache and Carignan. These grape varieties define the terroir and the character of the wines of Montsant. French varieties may be added to this blend, without masking the wines identity. Furthermore, the cooler Montsant soils favour the true expression of each grape variety.

History
Selects the most interesting pieces from each vintage, the ones able to express its best character. Collaborates as well with top gastronomers to customize exclusive wines. For that, relies on the outstanting cellars of each D.O. that share the same philosophy. One white and two reds (D.O. Montsant and D.O.Q. Priorat) symbolize along the following editions, respectively: freshness, fruity expression and floral elegance.

TASTING NOTES
AppeArAnce Bright light yellow gold color. nose The nose offers pink Grapefruit and blood orange aromas, white flowers honey, and light tropical notes. Citrus note gives it a refreshing scent. pAlAte The palate is rich in glycerol, the fruit and floral character follows through with hints of anise. The finish displays refreshing acidity and lingering minerality. Ultimate food wine.

TASTING NOTES
AppeArAnce Deep dark cherry color of medium high intensity, purple rim. nose The nose displays red and black berried fruit underlined by leathery and peppery notes. Quite generous and expressive, showcasing a mediterranean minerality. pAlAte On the palate the wine is ample with a bright acidity. The tannins are velvety and the fruit is fleshy and ripe. long finish with spicy earthy notes. An off the beaten path Montsant.

AppeArAnce Medium ruby red. nose On the nose we find dried herbs, strawberry and pepper. hints of eucalyptus and lavender. pAlAte The palate displays great mediterranean character with garrigue, licorice, pepper and singed minerality.
