INTRODUCTION

Princess Olefia ( daughter of the king of underworld) is struck at the entrance of labyrinth and one of the rebel's spy is on the verge of discovering that. However "insect fairy" which was supposed to guide her through the labyrinth has not shown up. The place is too dangerous for you to go as Vidal (princess' step father) is too sociopathic. You have to create an autopilot capable of navigating through the labyrinth. The path is a maze ending up at the center where the princess would be united with the kings of underworld.

Arena specification
A maze formed by concentric circles connected to each other at some specific locations (as shown in the image). There would be two similar mazes with one maze having dimensions in a ratio greater than 1 radially. Some critical dimensions: White strip width = 2.5 cm Black strip width =2.5 cm Black strip length=5 cm Separation between black and white strip=2 cm Outermost diameter =290 cm

OBJECTIVES
The event focuses on solving a maze via line following, one of the very basic yet extremely important concept of robotics, but mind you , it isnt going to be just line following, the event will test your analytical skills, and will bring out the best in you. Participants from various colleges would participate in this national level robotics competition and the winner of this competition will go to the Grand Finale of the iARC to be held during Techkriti 13.

GENERAL RULES
Each team can have a maximum of 4 participants. A team may consist of students from different colleges. Certificates of Excellence will be awarded to the top three teams. Bots should not be disassembled until the results are declared. The organizers reserve the right to change the rules as they deem fit. Judges decision will be final and binding to all.

BOT SPECIFICATIONS
Each team has to prepare 1 autonomous Robot. During the whole event the bot must fit within a square of 200X200X200 (lXbXh). Dimensions in mm. The Robot must be stable and able to move on its own Each team has to bring its own power supply for its robot. The voltage difference between any two points on the bot must not exceed 24 volts. Teams are advised to use an on-board power supply. In case they are using external power supply they will be responsible for any problem created by entanglement of wires. Robot Controls: You can start the robot at the beginning of the trial and no human intervention is allowed during the trial. If human intervention is necessary, the ongoing trial will be come to end. Teams may go for another trial if they have sufficient time left. The judges can ask for an explanation of any mechanism on the bot and there would be an immediate disqualification of defaulters of any kind.

Note: Any bot not fulfilling the above mentioned criteria will be disqualified

GAMEPLAY
A total of 10 minutes would be given for three trials. The bot has to start from the indicated point and reach the center of the maze following line and following rules If a black strip is encountered adjacent to the line on left side the bot will take the next left turn. If a black strip is encountered adjacent to the line on right side the bot will take the next right turn. End of task is indicated by innermost black circle.

Note: The turn indicators are random and their location may be changed for each trial.

POINTS SYSTEM
Sum of best two trials will be taken for judgment. Each correct turn= 50 points Each incorrect turn= -15 points Stopping at the end on Black circle= 30 points In case of a tie Average speed will be considered, where Average speed= Total path length/Time taken Criteria of judging will be sum of all these points.
