What really matters The polyurethane foam used as insulating material in CALPEX consists of the components polyol and isocyanate, which are originally in the liquid state. If these two components are mixed, the chemical reaction produces our efficient CALPEX insulation. The thermal insulation characteristic of the foam is decisively influenced by the type of gas and the cell diameter. The principle here is: the finer the cells of the finished foam, the better the distribution of the blowing agent.
