Women Studies 110 Essay 2 Professor Esweering Anabella Monzon Wilson Peggy Phelan says: "the fantasy of erotic desire which frames love", how many women make the wrong choice in picking a partner confusing erotic fantasy with real love and respect?, Is it because we see in the media that love is promiscuous sex interaction and then comes passionate infatuation?, but is it love?, She also says: "distortions of forgetting witch infects memory", did men forget who gave birth to them?, a woman?, can they see women as mothers rather than seductresses?. Broken Symmetries reads:"as a representation of the real, an image is always, partially phantasmal" this means even though we communicate through images and connotations, we can never really understand the subjective meaning given to the message if we are incapable of experiencing our own view as subjectivity because we have been subordinated to only understand semiotic meanings of domination that subordinates us to objectivation by others.. How can I be empowered to be a Feminist that is liberated? by keeping the lenses of my Camera Oscura well opened and step aside so I can see my true identity and discover the only freedom I need is the one to have a choice to become what I am able; and guided to become by my own awakening and not by letting others chose for me what I should do, to whom, when, how, how long, to be objectified as a tool to be used by the very ones that are suppose to help me gain a sense of identity. imperialism, conquest, subordination, colonialism that are guided by Patriarchal Hegemony of white supremacist genderism and sexism, so I can be normalized in a system of predatory Capitalism in which I am imposed the belief of meritocracy. The idea that I have the right to chose where I am and that if I end up in a bad place I put myself there, No, that is a lie, I claim my power, I was not given Equal Opportunity, nor handed Human Rights by the System. Being a woman and minority as well, we are all imposed upon the idea that we are inferior or marginalized, when we are not. So there is a blind spot in theoretical frame as Phelan mentions. Also if we can see outside of the pleasure of looking we can become true spectators that can have a critical interpretative view rather than a historical learned repressed view, like Bwell Hooks did in the Daughter's of the Dust Video. I also have to differentiate between the secular and the spiritual. The secular is made holy by men, but true spirituality is an inner awakening that signifies immersion and submergence in the spiritual awakening of community revival that raises the awareness that we are all connected and are a part of the whole. We do not have to worship, or be taught how to adore, we already are one with each other and with the life influx of being. In realizing these interconnectedness with all, lays our own awakening and our own power to do and be all!' In togetherness all women sing freedom in the Liberation of being and we carpet with inspiration the awareness consciousness of the children of the morrow
