Scholl Basic Christianity/ period 3 December 17, 2012 Adam and Eve They are the very first two characters in the bible. They were built without knowledge, which is good. Then God let him took charge of the garden, eat fruit whatever they want but the knowledge of good and evil, unlucky serpent let them do it, started the first sin, punished by pain, cursed and pregnant. Therefore, Adam and Eve are the ancestors of the human. Even though they did sin to the God, as the bible, what they did is really important for the whole humanity: gave us the biggest different between human and animal- knowledge. However, I would consider them for the most important roles in the bible. Noah He did a big job for God to create the world, especially for human. He is the descendant of Adam. God let bring his family to the ark getting away from the big flood God gave to destroyed mens wickedness, and also two of all living creatures. Therefore, the whole world in bible started with his family. Abraham As the first man God promise to him, he showed greatest faith to God. He left his country and his fathers household to the promise land, used the name God told him to, and even obeyed sacrifice his son as a burnt offering. He passed all the test that God gave him, so God bless him, made him name great, and bless him; all people on earth will be blessed through him. Abrahams experience shows God will always do what he promises, and its good to do God wants us to do. Joseph He is the man who had been though a lot in the bible. First of all, he has 11 brothers, who were all jealous of him because he was the son of Rachel whom Jacob loved better. However, joseph wanted to tell his father the fact they were jealous, but brothers sold him to the Egypt. When he was serving the king of Egypt pharaoh, he was doing really well, even pharaoh sent him to the prison, and he was still the best one in the prison. He became the second most powerful in Egypt. When there was a famine in the place where his family lived, he was sent to send food to him. First joseph wasnt recognized, but later he could not control himself and make him known. For the end of this story, he forgave what his brother did to him and also blessed them. Moses

Moses was chosen to save the Gods people from Egypt though a burning brushes. As he made 3 excuses God let he do it with his brother Aaron. At Egypt, Pharaoh insisted not to let people go; he didnt believe Gods power, wasnt scared of the nine plagues, but the tenth plague AKA the Passover, was totally freaked out and kicked him and Israelites out. Even though pharaoh changed his mind after the people left and sent the troop to chase them, Gods almighty power let his people walk thought the red sea and conveniently killed the troop. Actually it was just the little part of his story. Moses also brought the 10 commitments from Sinai. He punished his brother and the people who worshiped the golden Calf. He did all what God wanted him to do just like Abraham, except for he hit the stone for water instead of speak to it; he couldnt go to the promise land. Samson One of the judges, Samson, was born to be Nazirite, one dedicated to serve God. He was powerful, had the power of the spirit of God, but he also had one weaknesswomen. He could kill a lion like kill a lamp; he could strike down 30 men easily for the clothes. The philistine tried to capture him with 1000 people, but they were all struck down. He was so powerful, but unfortunately he was in love with a woman who told people the secret of his razor. He was put in to prison with no power and no eyes. In prison, he prayed to God: please strengthen him once more. God did it. He destroyed the building and died. Thus he killed many more when he died then while he lived. Ruth She was a woman who totally wasnt an Israelite, but God let her be the direct ancestor of the savior Jesus. Since her husband was dead, she followed her mother-in-law, even though her mother in law told her to leave, she said where you go I will go, where you stay I will stay, your people will be my people and your God my God. That would be one of the most famous sentence in bible, what she did is really moving. She met her second husband at Bethlehem, where savior Jesus was born. Elijah The prophet, the person who speak for God. He was the man who God let him tell King Ahab hes doing wrong. God brought the drought to the people, but still took care of Elijah by ravens brought him bread and mean, and he drank from the brook. Also he was commanded to save the family of Zarephath. As the people kept serving the fake God Baal, Elijah did the test to prove there was only one God, and hes Lord. Elijah is one of the most important prophets in the Old Testament. He helped people do the right thing instead of sins. David

A thin man. He had faith to God. He was anointed by Samuel. Philistines are tried to conquer Israelite, but they cant because of the ark. However, a philistine Goliath who was tall and strong want to fight with a Israelite, but no one think they can do it except for the fearless David, he killed Goliath easily with the power of God. Philistines serve them as the bet says. David is the one God chosen to be king, he had the power in mind, which is unbeatable, and also because God is with him. The three men: Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego King Nebuchadnezzar worshipped the wrong god, these 3 men knew who the right one is, they denied worshiping, but they were put in to the fiery furnace as punishes. We all know God is with him, and never let his people die easily, so of course they wont burn in it, additionally there were 4 people in the fiery furnace, which scared the king so bad. I should say it in this way, it was the people scared the king, it was the power. We know God would never give up his people.
