2008 Revision no: 2 Identification No 01 13 02 01 100 0 000006 Sikament-300

Sikament-300
Hyper plasticizer concrete admixture
Product Description
It is a high performance hyper plasticizer and hardening accelerator concrete admixture. n n n n n Characteristics / Advantages In the production of concrete with high early strength, compact and good surface finished Production of precast and prestressed concrete elements whilst reducing steam curing time Concrete applications where quick removal of formworks is required Concreting in cool and cold weather conditions For production of concrete slabs, columns, beams, bridges and walls subject to early loading

Construction

Uses

Sikament-300 provides following properties; n Significant increase in early compressive strengths (8-24 hours) due to its hardening accelerator effect n Increase in the workability of concrete without any risk of segregation providing easy settlement and shorter vibration times as a superplasticizer n Due to shorter steam curing times, economic solutions can be achieved n More than 20% water reduction can be obtained n Increase in frost and water resistant properties of concrete because of reduced water content and low permeability Sikament 300 does not contain chlorides or other ingredients promoting corrosion of steel reinforcement. It is therefore suitable for reinforced and prestressed steel.

Tests
Approval / Standards Conforms to the requirements of TS EN 9342 tables 3.1 and 3.2.

Exact dosage rates are dependent on quality of binder and aggregate, Water/Binder ratio and ambient temperature. Therefore, it is advisable to carry out trial mixes to establish the exact dosage rate required.

Application Conditions/Limitations
Compatibility Sikament 300 may be combined with the following Sika products among others -SikaAer -SikaPump -SikaRapid -SikaFume HR -Sika Ferrogard-901 Trails are recommended before combining products

Application Instructions
Dispensing Sikament 300 is added to the gauging water at the plant or added on site into the concrete mixer. When added separately to the freshly mixed concrete, further mixing should take place for at least 3 minutes. Before being discharged, the concrete must be visually inspected for even consistency. Admixture dosage must be suitable in order to prevent segregation. The standard rules of good concreting practice, concerning production as well as placing, are to be followed. Refer to relevant standards. Fresh concrete must be cured properly. Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened / cured material can only be mechanically removed.

Notes on Application / Limitations

When using Sikament 300, a suitable mix design has been taken into account and local material sources should be trialled. n Sikament 300 should not be added to dry cement. n Sikament 300 should be added with the mixing water or introduced at the end of the mixing process. n Fresh concrete must be cured properly, especially at low temperatures. According to SIA standard 162 (1989), the temperature of fresh concrete during placing may not be lower then +5C. If frost is expected, adequate protection measures must be taken until the concrete has achieved frost resistance (10 N/mm). Before application, suitability tests must be performed. n All technical data stated in this Product Data Sheet are based on laboratory tests. Actual measured data may vary due to circumstances beyond our control Please note that as a result of specific local regulations the performance of this product may vary from country to country. Please consult the local Product Data Sheet for the exact description of the application fields.
