Food and restaurants


In Norway we eat much seafood. On the Fish market besides the brew there are stalls with filled with fish and shellfish and you can enjoy it in the food court that lies by the market. About 100m. From the fish market with Strandgaten lies Sstrene Hagli(Also called Madame Bergen) fish store. There they sell homemade traditional seafood based on old recopies from Bergen. The pier loft and the Holbergstuen are traditional restaurants that serve good dishes from Bergen with meat and fish. These restaurants lies in the center of the city and we recommend you to visit them

Transportation
Skyss is that company that organizes collective transportation in Bergen. They offer busses and Light rail(Bybanen). Light Rail is efficient for passengers going to the center. It follows a line that runs from downtown all the way to Nesttun located about 9.8 km from the

center.

Bus
Is another very efficient transport of Bergen bus. Since spring 2012, the bus route has been improved very much. Buses run in both the city and the streets far up the mountainsides and the far outskirts of town.

Statsraad Lehmkuhl
For those who love the sea, and social events are Statsraad Lehmkuhl a perfect experience. This white-clad ship can be rented for parties and gatherings. It has a culinary buffet and room for up to 300 people

University Museum of Bergen The museum of Natural History and heritage collections for the whole family. The museum is on Nygrdshyden in Bergen. Festspillene Festspillene is the oldest festival of music and theater. They have been held every spring since 1953.

Trip
Flyen (399 meters above sea level) Is one of Bergens most visited tourist attraction. You can either take the Flibanen (funicular) or you can take the child friendly paths. There is a caf and a restaurant on the top. Ulriken (643) is the highest of the seven mountains that is surrounding Bergen. Its possible to walk or take the Gondol up to the top. It is a restaurant on the top. Stoltzekleiven (400 m above sea level) is a very steep paved hiking trail with about 800 steps. It goes from the cornice and up to the top of Sandviksfjellet. Tour on the seven mountains around Bergen Lyderhorn (390 meters above sea level.) Damsgrds Mt (317meters above sea level.) Lvstaken (470 meters above sea level.)

Rundemannen (568 meters above sea level.) Sandviks Mt (417 meters above sea level.)

For the whole family


Aquarium At the aquarium, you can see many different species of animals up close. That includes crocodiles, sharks, lion seals and penguins. The aquarium offers a great experience for the whole family. You can take the boat "harbor" that goes from the fish market to the aquarium every 15 min.

Attractions
Bryggen Bryggen has roots dating back to 1000 years. Bergen was founded by Olav Kyrre in 1070. On the wharf in Bergen in the old days, it was the Hanseatic League who lived. It was on the pier all the ships added, when the Hanseatic League negotiated. Bryggen in Bergen is the city of Bergen. Due to the heavy fire is only a fourth part of the buildings preserved.

VilVite A fun Learning technology, natural sciences and mathematics center for the whole family. Vestkanten Vestkanten is a center of activities for the whole family. The center has a waterpark, a skating rink, bowling and over 90shops. Vestkanten is in Loddefjord, 10 minutes from Downtown.

Maria Church. The church was built between 1130-1170. Maria church is in Bergen. It also has an old church yard that is not in use, with gravestones from the years 1700-1800. Trollhaugen

Trollhaugen is Edvard Griegs earlier houses. Built on Troldhaugen is a typical wooden villa from 1.9 century. Koengen Koengen is one of the most preserved fortresses in Norway. This is where the concerts tend to be held.
