CLASSROOM SOCIALISM

Is this man truly a genius? An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism w orked and that no one w ould be poor and no one w ould be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, "OK, w e w ill have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan". All grades w ill be averaged and everyone w ill receive the same grade so no one w ill fail and no one w ill receive an A.... (substituting grades for dollars - something closer to home and more readily understood by all). After the first test, the grades w ere averaged and everyone got a B. The students w ho studied hard w ere upset and the students w ho studied little w ere happy. As the second test rolled around, the students w ho studied little had studied even less and the ones w ho studied hard decided they w anted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average w as a D! No one w as happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the new average w as an F. As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one w ould study for the benefit of anyone else. To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism w ould also ultimately fail because w hen the rew ard is great, the effort to succeed is great, but w hen government takes all the rew ard aw ay, no one w ill try or w ant to succeed. Human nature w ill alw ays cause socialism's style of government to fail because the w orld has producers and non-producers (makers and takers). It could not be any simpler than that. (Please pass this on) These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read and all applicable to this experiment: 1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the w ealthy out of prosperity. 2. What one person receives w ithout w orking for, another person must w ork for w ithout receiving. 3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. 4. You cannot multiply w ealth by dividing it! 5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to w ork because the other half is going to take care of them, and w hen the other half gets the idea that it does no good to w ork because somebody else is going to get w hat they w ork for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.
