5 p.m. The Mtis Nation of Ontario (MNO) Registry seeks a strong team player with excellent customer service skills to provide a range of services as Registry Intake Assessment Officer. This is a temporary (Backfill), full-time position ending March 31, 2013 in the Ottawa office. The Registry Intake Assessment Officer is responsible for being the first point of contact for prospective Mtis Nation of Ontario Citizenship and Harvesters Certificate applicants. The Intake Assessment Officer is responsible for the day to day processing of incoming Citizenship and Harvesters Certificate applications. Reporting to the Registrar, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Application Processing Conduct all activities in accordance with established Mtis Nation of Ontario policies and procedures Ensure documents submitted with citizenship and harvesting applications meet criteria Ensure that initial requirements are met and application is complete Customer Service Respond to client inquires and requests by telephone, email, letter or in person Provide prospective applicants with detailed information on the application process and the supporting documentation required Assist applicants, as necessary, with referrals for research and resources Administrative Duties Enter data in Registry database Use standard office equipment (computer, photocopier, fax) Open application files in accordance with the guidelines Perform special projects as assigned Maintain Confidentiality Adherence to Privacy Laws and respect of legislated guidelines

Mandatory Qualifications Minimum of Secondary school education and two years office experience Accurate data entry and attention to detail Demonstrated Customer service skills including strong communication abilities Excellent working knowledge of computers (Microsoft Office suite) and standard office equipment Well developed administrative, filing and organizational skills Requirements Bilingual (English/French) would be considered an asset Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Ability to multi-task Knowledge of Mtis history, culture and traditions We thank all applicants for their interest, but advise that only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
