1 Denition
With the feature Selective Call Acceptance (SCA), only those call requests from certain defined directory numbers are connected through to the subscriber line. All other call requests are rejected. The subscriber can define up to 50 directory numbers. It is also possible to specify partial directory numbers. The numbers in question are contained in subscriber-specific screening lists, e.g. a white list for permitted connections. A subscriber can have two screening lists, but it is not possible to have both screening lists active at the same time. A combination of a black list and a white list is possible using the Selective Call Rejection (SCR) feature.

2 Mode of operation
If the Selective Call Acceptance (SCA) feature is activated, all incoming calls from directory numbers defined in the screening lists are connected through to the subscriber. All other incoming calls are rejected and an announcement indicates that the directory number dialed cannot be reached. The directory number of an incoming call compared with the entries in the screening list can be provided by the network node or by the subscribers terminal device (ISDN or analog PBX). The directory number presented by the subscriber is preferred, however, because it allows more detailed analysis of the screening list. Screening list The feature allows a screening list with up to 50 entries to be assigned to a subscriber. The range of entries in the list can begin with 0 or 1, depending on a network node parameter. Steps of 5 or 10 entries are used. Subscribers can administer entries in screening lists themselves. Partial directory numbers can be specified in screening lists. Directory number list entries from the same local network node can be specified with or without the local area code. If the local area code is not included in an entry, the home local area code is automatically prefixed to the subscribers directory number. The digit 0 as a list entry causes rejection or acceptance of all calls (as specified) from an external network node. Capacity The percentages indicate the number of authorized subscribers for the feature within the network node and their simultaneous application.
