1 Denition
The functions of the feature Central Dial In to GeoCENTREX Business Group allow specific calling subscribers to use the GeoCENTREX internal directory number plan for calls to both local and external destinations of the GeoCENTREX business group. External destinations are destinations that are not local GeoCENTREX subscribers in the same network node and in the same local GeoCENTREX group as the GeoCENTREX group with the feature "central dial in".

Note on making directory number plans: GeoCENTREX access codes that are to be dialed after central dial in may only consist of decadic digits. In addition to using the number plan, calling subscribers can use GeoCENTREX-specific features (by dialing digits) that are included in the number plan of the GeoCENTREX group with central dial in (see also chapter 2): The feature is divided into three independent functions (see chapter 2): Dial In via a GeoCENTREX group directory number (CDI) Dial In for virtual Centrex mobile and public subscribers of other networks (CDIAUTH) Dial In for Satellite Centrex group subscribers (CDISATPE) All individual functions can be used independently of each other and should not be bring in together. Operator benefits With this service, subscribers of other networks (including mobile networks) or of other operators with their own business groups can be integrated. The GeoCENTREX business group features can be offered to Centrex subscribers from non-EWSD network nodes. Public subscribers can be offered the use of the GeoCENTREX-specic call charging as follows: For the call section from the GeoCENTREX group with central dial in to the nal destination, call charges within this GeoCENTREX group are billed to this GeoCENTREX group. Public subscribers benet indirectly from the fact that they are not charged for this call section. Subscriber benefits Mobile subscribers or public network subscribers without GeoCENTREX functionality can use the GeoCENTREX business group features. Subscribers connected to network nodes with restricted CENTREX functionality (satellite Centrex subscribers) can use the GeoCENTREX business group features Company members and company customers can make calls throughout the network at the companys call charge rates. The cost of calls can be cut by using the GeoCENTREX-specic call charging. Availability Analog Subscriber GeoCENTREX subscriber X X X X ISDN X --Mobile

Use and effect The calling subscriber uses the feature functions of Central Dial In, see also Feature authorization. Interaction For interaction with other features, see Feature Interactions. Interactions of the individual functions (CDI, CDIAUTH, CDISATPE) Calls of authenticated subscribers: Authenticated subscribers dial into their GeoCENTREX business group. To reach Centrex subscribers in satellite groups of the same business group, authenticated subscribers then have to dial the group dialing code of the satellite group and the internal number of the subscriber. To reach Centrex subscribers in satellite groups of other business groups, authenticated subscribers have to dial the access code for the public network and the subscriber's public number (like a public call). Calls to authenticated subscribers: Authenticated subscribers are linked in a CENTREX group of their GeoCENTREX business group via a remote internal directory number (CENTREX directory number with CDIAUTH=YES). In addition to this, authenticated subscribers can also be reached by any subscriber via the GeoCENTREX group in which they are authenticated, even if this group does not have the function CDI or CDISATPE Calls to subscribers in a satellite group: Subscribers in the public network can reach the Centrex subscribers of a satellite group via an (intermediate) GeoCENTREX group with CDI, as long as both Centrex groups belong to the same GeoCENTREX business group.

2 Mode of operation
With Central Dial In to GeoCENTREX Business Group it is possible for incoming calls from the mobile network, (CDIAUTH function) incoming public calls from the xed network, e.g. subscribers from other operators networks who authenticate themselves as belonging to the Centrex group, (CDIAUTH function) incoming calls from satellite Centrex groups that do not have the network-wide private directory number plan of the business group, (CDISATPE function) to be handled and charged as a business group-internal call from the central dial-in point within a network-wide business group. incoming calls from the public network for the purpose of dialing in via one of the GeoCENTREX group directory numbers or for inexpensive forwarding within the business group (CDI function) to be charged as a business group-internal call from the central dial-in point within a network-wide business group. For a network-wide business group, it is also possible to define several central dial-in points for different local GeoCENTREX groups. For the feature functions CDI and CDISATPE the central dial-in point is defined via the GeoCENTREX group feature. In the case of the function CDIAUTH the group is as-

Information GeoCENTREX

Central Dial In

signed the feature indirectly via the numbering plan with the aid of internal directory numbers that are created with the attribute CDIAUTH. The fixed network features CCBS and CCNR can only be used with central dial in if the called subscriber is located in the same network node as the GeoCENTREX dial-in group. For the directory number display at the destination, appropriate numbers are transmitted in the additional calling party number, among other things. The number of digits that can be transmitted is limited by the system to 16. If the number of digits is exceeded, no additional calling party number is transmitted. ISUP Loop For calls from subscribers connected to the same network node as the GeoCENTREX dial-in group (in the case of CDI and CDISATPE, authenticated subscribers are, by definition, in a different network node) which are not terminated locally in this GeoCENTREX group, ISUP loops are necessary for separating the connection sections. The number of trunks required for ISUP loop depends on the number of dial-in groups and the volume of their traffic to distant network nodes, and also on the number of subscribers connected to the dial-in network node. For dimensioning purposes, the traffic values measured for the ISUP loop should be used. If there is a CDI group and a CDISATPE group in the same network node, the ISUPLOOP is always looped in.

2.1

Dial In via a GeoCENTREX group directory number (CDI)

In the case of local GeoCENTREX groups with the CDI feature, their group directory number is used for central entry into GeoCENTREX business groups, which can be spread over several network nodes. Calls via the group directory number are forwarded within the business group at GeoCENTREX-specific tariffs. After the group directory number has been dialed, only GeoCENTREX-specific access codes can be dialed: Internal dialing Remote dialing Group dialing Location dialing Calls into the public network are not possible. GeoCENTREX-specific access codes can, however, lead to subscribers outside the GeoCENTREX business group, if these have been created as remote internal subscribers with the feature CDIAUTH (see chapter 2.2). Call authentication is not necessary. Calls via this dial-in point are treated like external calls and can only use the features of the public network, i.e. none of the features within the GeoCENTREX group. If the feature Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP) has been created, the directory number of the calling subscriber is displayed to the called subscriber (see also Tab. 7.1 to Tab. 7.8).

2.2

Dial In for virtual Centrex mobile and public subscribers of other networks (CDIAUTH)
A public or mobile network subscriber is registered in a GeoCENTREX group with central dial-in point as a virtual member of the business group. This is implemented in the directory number plan of the GeoCENTREX group via a remote internal directory number and the public directory number of the group member with the feature CDIAUTH. The subscriber can dial into his or her GeoCENTREX business group by dialing the public directory number (GeoCENTREX group directory number, in which the subscriber is authorized). The calling subscriber is authenticated as a member of the business group on the basis of the directory number forwarded via the network signaling. The dialed information following the group directory number is evaluated in the private GeoCENTREX directory number plan as access code, service code or internal directory number and then treated as an internal call in the business group. This means that the call is also signaled to the destination subscriber as an internal call and, if the feature Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP) has been created, the private number determined on the basis of the calling directory number is displayed in order to permit inexpensive callback (see Tab. 7.9 to Tab. 7.12).

Information GeoCENTREX

Central Dial In

If the result of the evaluation of the dialed information indicates a destination within the GeoCENTREX business group in a different network node, the call is forwarded on the basis of the group-specific private directory number plan.

In the case of an unstructured directory number plan within the GeoCENTREX business group, the remote internal directory number for the virtual subscriber has to be created in all local groups, in order to permit callback (see Tab. 7.16). (Here, the DNDAT of the authorized subscriber must be entered as NEWCODE, together with the CXDN of the authorized subscriber). Authorized calling subscribers (CDIAUTH) can also reach destinations in the public or mobile network via central dial in to their GeoCENTREX business group. Certain GeoCENTREX-specific features can be activated and used by means of service codes transmitted together with the call: Call waiting, call-controlled Subscriber barge-in

2.3

Dial In for Satellite Centrex group subscribers (CDISATPE)

Satellite Centrex groups are local Centrex groups, usually from other manufacturers (not Siemens, e.g. Alcatel S12), which can signalize the network-wide business group identification (BGID). Satellite Centrex groups can be integrated in a GeoCENTREX business group via the central dial-in point if they have the same BGID. For this purpose the GeoCENTREX group must be assigned the feature CDISATPE for central dial-in. Also, the numbering plan of the GeoCENTREX group must contain the codes for access to

the network node of the satellite Centrex group and to all the required destinations of the GeoCENTREX business group. On the basis of the received group directory number (+ access codes) and the internal directory number, the call is forwarded within the GeoCENTREX business group. The group location dialing code (establised out of the group directory number) and the internal directory number of the calling subscriber are displayed via the central dial-in to the called subscriber so that he or she can reach the calling subscriber, if the feature Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP) has been created (see Tab. 7.17 to Tab. 7.22). Certain GeoCENTREX-specific features can be activated and used by means of service codes transmitted together with the call: Call waiting, call-controlled Subscriber barge-in

Call charges for connections The call charges for connections are assigned as follows: The section up to the central dial-in point is charged in the public network and assigned to the calling subscriber. The section from the central dial-in point up to the destination subscriber is charged as follows and assigned to the group number of the dial-in group: if the destination is located within the dial-in group, no charge is made if the destination is located within the GeoCENTREX business group, call charges are allocated on a GeoCENTREX-specic basis (according to call charge areas).

4.2

Dial In for virtual Centrex mobile and public subscribers of other networks
Call charges for connections The call charges for connections are assigned as follows: Section up to the central dial-in point: For the section from the mobile network up to the central dial-in point an identication data record is created in the mobile network. For the termination of this section in the public network at the central dial-in point, an identication record (INAMA format) can additionally be created for accounting agreements between the operators and assigned to the calling subscriber For the section from the public xed network to the central dial-in point, an identication data record is created in the public network and assigned to the calling subscriber. The section from the central dial-in point up to the destination subscriber is assigned to the group number of the dial-in group and charged as follows: If the destination is within the dial-in group, no charge is made (no additional call section is dened) If the destination is within the GeoCENTREX business group, charges are made on a GeoCENTREX-specic basis (according to the call charge areas) If the destination is a public subscriber, charges are made according to the public tariff
