Bailey, W. F. The Story of the First Transcontinental Railroad. Pittsburgh: PITT PRINTING, 1906. Print. This source gave me knowledge on the Indians who fought for their land against the railroad companies. It explained some of the costs that were necessary to keep the Indians under control and the workers relatively safe throughout the building process. This book also has a lot of milestone dates that I will refer to while making the final project. DG UL

workers. It showed me the hardships they went through. It also helped me understand how the Transcontinental brought unity to America. DG UL

Sean Potter is a valid author that specifies in weather stories. The author represents the transcontinental as a machine that just took money and never really made up for the money it cost to make the train. DG

Williams, Henry T. The Pacific Tourist. Michigan: Ann Arbor, 2005 or 1876. Print. This book told a recount of the creation of the Transcontinental Railroad. It showed me some of the conditions that the workers had to work under, which was useful in writing background information on the Train companies that were included in the creation. DG PL
