Course Description
ThiscoursewillgiveanoverviewofsafeconstructioninNewYork City,whichisregulatedbythe2008NYCConstructionCodes to ensurethatregulationsremainuptodatewithevolvingsafe practices. TheDepartmentofBuildingsisattheforefrontof approvingnewmaterialsandtechnology,enablingittoadvancesafe practicesthrougheducationandspecializedonsiteinspectionswith ownershipandcontractors. Electronicvisualexampleswillprovideanunderstandingforthebest andworstpracticesfoundonconstructionsitesacrosstheCity.This presentationwillallowparticipantstoincorporatebestpracticesin futureprojects whilebetterenablingthemtoidentifyandmitigate risksthatcouldposesafetythreatstothepublic.
